I've finally read everything in your blog, and I am deeply impressed!

One question, you mention using megamek. Have you tought of doing a mini tutorial in how to prep the software and use it for a combined rpg/tactical play?

Always a shame. Such a hassle to try and gather a group and then corral them into a regular game night around real life

Ihave my RPG gae night set on Friday, but I myself and the players take breaks often. Sickness, avoiding burnout, another game on occasion.

I run the game as purely Tabletop. We don't use MegaMek at all

Last Saturday was the last session for Ransom's player (at least, for now; fingers crossed). It was also a very RP-heavy session with a lot going on and a lot of unexpected developments. One of which was an NPC going in a direction that I did not expect at all.

So this also means that it took no less then four posts to recap. Enjoy!

This is basically an update to say that there's no update

The game's functionally on hold for the moment. We've had a lot of problems with player availability, plus one of the players is now running his own game. On the upside, I have an outside prospect for a new player, so we'll see what happens there.

Meanwhile... The unit from Newcastle has a CO called Raymond Terrace. A dropship called Nelson Bay, another one named Hawks Nest... As a former Novocastrian I approve! (I'm probably also like the only person on these forums who get this)

Love it! Capital idea.

Any chance the Irregulars will try and recruit any of the former Chasseurs rather than just handing them over? Would make sense seeing as you're still down two mechs and these guys would know the terrain, etc?

The two empty Mechwarrior slots have been filled with nameless NPCs. There's some things in the air that mean I could actually be filling one of them with a real player.

Sadly, neither of the two Chasseaurs Mechwarriors they captured are inclined to be friendly. One decided to go down fighting, and the other took four pilot hits, three of them in the same turn.

Today's session got off to a good start. Takahashi's Akuma ate 150 rockets, a MRM-20, an ER PPC, a LBX-10, a LBX-20 and numerous Medium lasers in one turn, stripping off all the front armour save for the head.
