A cheap but reliable vehicle designed for allow a small group of people to go anywhere on the surface of a planet. Designed by Universal Exports for use by Interstellar Expeditions, the vehicle has been popular among the scientific and survey crowd. It is capable of breaking 110 kph, limited flight, and blue water operations. It is lightly armored against small arms, and more importantly, small fauna, and carries multiple non-leathal sonic stunners to aid the crew in dealing with such local threats as well.

Universal Exports constructed 4 factories in various parts of the periphery. The simple construction requirements allows them to be built easily. Locally and in the surrounding systems these vehicles have even become popular with the local constabulary for patrol, and sometime rescue, duties.

EDIT: Variations
Universal Exports also produces a small number of high tech versions of this vehicle to those who wish to spend more on it. These variants use advanced construction techniques to optimize the vehicle and fine-tune it, including upgrading the engine to a fusion device. Such vehicles are custom built for each buyer, and can range from an increased cargo capacity of 507.84 kg, to a speed of 19-29 and a cargo capacity of 39.84 kg.


For anyone who doesn't know the name, Louis Zboroski was a British racer in the 1920s famous for using cars that made a very distinctive noise (mostly because they had airplane engines in them). His cars inspired Ian Flemming to write a story based on it. This vehicle is my nod to both.

I'd be inclined to drop the BAR value of the armor to 2 to increase the fuel and/or cargo load.  Since you only have one point, BAR 6 is overkill.  Other than that, a nice little vehicle indeed.  Without your fluff, I'd suggest a fusion engine, but the ICE fits much better.

The BAR 6 is pointless in the tactical game for something with only 1 point of armor, but in an aToW game, which this would be much more likely to see action, BAR 6 is useful against most small arms fire, and the like.

The High-tech version of this with a Tech rating F chassis and Fusion engine has either a 488.76 507.84 kg cargo capacity, or it goes 17-26 19-29 and has a 42.36 39.84 kg cargo capacity.

Edit: forgot to remove fuel the fusion engine doesn't need, fixed numbers.

I also didn't upgrade the armor to an F tech rating, so it could be improved even further.
