Shadow Division Battle Armor
« on: 16 May 2017, 12:04:38 »
I'm painting a Shadow Division level III. The mechs, vehicles, and aerospace are pretty straightforward but I'm struggling with how to paint the battle armor and infantry. On camospecs, it says that the shadow divisions should be:

The [...] Shadow Division paints their 'Mechs black on lower portions (aftward for ASFs and vehicles), fading to light gray towards the top (forward for ASFs and vehicles), with bone highlights on the arms (turrets/wings).

No mention of battle armor. There are pictures that show demon battle armor with black uppers and white lowers (http://camospecs.com/Miniature/Details/5420/djinn-battle-armor). I've also see battle armor mostly white/light grey (http://camospecs.com/Miniature/Details/7114/purifier-battle-armor-resculpts) I am wondering what is the official scheme.

Thanks!

The black and white is the light of mankind unit colors.
For standard WoB shadow divisions go with the light great to black fade.

I know it's a little late, but hopefully this helps.

My hint?

Base white.
Drybrush bottom two thirds medium grey.
Drybrush bottom third black.
Hit with a black ink wash.
