Short story: Falling on Dead Ears

BattleCorps-style short story about a clash of cultures that happens when the Smoke Jaguars occupy the Draconis Combine world of Bjarred way back in 3050.

The story looks at the Clan invasion from the viewpoint of the average citizen rather than a soldier, and explores what life would have been like for worlds that suddenly came under Clan occupation. I've also experimented with telling the story in flashback, inspired by Max Brooks' "World War Z". Hope you like it, feel free to leave a comment below.
