An experimental unit for the usage of triple LB10X Autocannons, this design was originally designed back in the Amaris Coup, but was quickly forgotten due to limited usefulness at the time. It was revised in the year 3051 due to the Clan Onslaught.

Overview:
Considered the inspiration for the BNC-3S, this heavy "assault" variant of the
Banshee BNC-3 series is only seen on ancient blueprints or found in complete
disrepair in antiquidated and dilapidated Star League facilities.


The design was revived for a short time in 3051, but ammunition dependance that
far outstripped the BNC-3S platform led to it being reduced to special orders
only.


The loadout of the BNC-3XR consists of triple LB-10X Autocannons, with five
tons of ammo all CASE protected between the right and left torsos. An SRM-6
pack, two medium lasers, and a small laser all provide close quarters
firepower, which will be undoubtedly assisted by the heavy autocannons even at
point-blank range.

Drop the ML/SRM battery for an ERLL and it's almost identical to an omni config I've used (quite effectively!) before. :)

Just did a quick what if in my head, suppose you had a 3S that had just been pounded during evac fro a planet, but it needs to be operational when you land in two weeks, presumably on a different dropship than it normally travels on
I randomly chose that other than armor and sinks the only weapons available were PPCs and mediums, ended up with 28 sinks, 3 PPCs and 8 mediums,  the lovechild  of an Awesome and a Swayback

Hmmm... 3051?  Needs more Blazer Cannon!  :D

Seriously, swap in a Blazer (and some heat sinks, of course) for one of the LB-10Xs, and you add some ranged head-capping in an era before the Heavy PPC...

Daryk, you really need a personal title to do with Blazer. Your love for them knows no bounds. I would use the Blazer as a replacement for any AC20 carrying Mech built prior to the Clan invasion. After that Gauss Rifles replace those AC/20s.

Hmmm... I think I could stretch "Double Deuce" to have a Blazer connotation... Yeah, when I get around to rewriting the fan fiction for that game, a Blazer will have to feature at some point.  Thanks for the idea Sharpnel! O0
