Madcat MK IV SavageWolf Question?
« on: 15 March 2012, 19:13:20 »
Just saw the SavageWolf (pic enclosed). Before I start complaining I have some questions.
1)does the missiles bays come where you can have them open or closed (I hope)
2)The small turret above the cockpit-does it come with the mech (I hope)
3)does the legs/arms come in at least two pieces (for poses.I hope)

If no on these I still getting at least 2,thanks for any help

If you open IWM's gallery you will get more pictures: http://www.ironwindmetals.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=1098

I'm already in love with the mini  {>{> (have ordered it weeks ago, together with the Woodsman and Thunderbolt IIC)

The pods must be separate! Thats a huge chunk of metal otherwise.

They are not separate, but attached to the main body.

The IWM site says the 24th. Probably and hopefully soon after that date. I have credit to use for this bad boy.

Wow... I'm shocked actually that it's so few pieces. Looking forward to this actually... of course, mine might get an ironic green-bird paint job...

Now we just need a Madcat MK V and we can field full points of kitty cats. I approve of this and I know you all do too.

That date is the earliest possible date they will be on IWM site. They should be out in distribution by now, I will check on it.

Is that the 24th of March or the 24th of April?

Ready to do battle for his vanquished Clan
Stalking the Falcon Khans, who would remake us
His actions, the Wolf incarnate

says april on the IWM site
"Warriors, not war machines, are the backbone of the Hell's Horses. While others worship the BattleMech as the ultimate weapon, the men and women of this Clan see even this awesome piece of technology as the tool it is. We have held to this philosophy since the days of our first Khan, who knew that the value of the common soldier far outstripped the brute force of the BattleMech. It is one reason our Clan possesses fewer mechs than most, and has led many to underestimate our fierceness and courage. Our survival against all challengers when others have fallen proves the folly of such arrogance, and testifies to the wisdom of our founders."

An interesting mini.  Have there been any stats published for this beast?

Not yet, most people just plan to use the corresponding variant of the Timber Wolf, the variant escapes me at the moment.

I put one of these together on Friday, purchased from my LGS. The missile bay doors are permanently closed, and the mini is 5 pieces, 2 arms, 2 legs, and a torso. The contact points are quite small, and support a lot of metal, so using some sort of of pinning or green stuff to support the joint is advised.
