If we can get that leviathan re sculpt I would like to get it some heavy escorts. What were those ghost bear dropships called Aesir and Vanir I would like those in the warship micro scale or whatever.

I have shipped 40+ APCs through my miniature pewter arms dealership so far. I am not planning to keep them in stock but will order them in when requested (I am focusing on slowly building up my inventory of mechs before I consider vehicles/ASFs).

I have stocked the primitive Rifleman and will stock the primitive Griffin. I plan to stock the Highlander and Flashman resculpts when they become available pending announcement of pricing. I think there is a market for these minis because they are good looking minis that have a broad appeal (may not appeal to everybody but will have enough appeal that they will sell).

I have also purchased the primitive Rifleman for my personal collection and will do the same with the primitive Griffin, the Highlander and Flashman resculpts.

The problem being that some units don't have sculpts at all? Not just a bad one people are griping about. No plans to get the Pollux ADA Heavy Tank in the works, to my knowledge. Or the Hobgoblin ProtoMech. So without programs like this, they won't see daylight for years, if ever. Perhaps this would be easier if another sculptor could take on a "re-sculpt only" project. There are a few I'd like to see from that, honestly. Dervish is one.

I think that is the biggest issues some of us have. I have no issue with people wanted an re-sculpt. But some of us (myself included) would much rather have sculpts for everything first. I have been told that there is a reason that they never made sculpts for them as they will not sell, but everything I have seen and heard the APC's (the only new one) are selling great. I think that there is a place for everyone's tastes, but they are not going to match and sometimes will be on opposite sides. Just as there are some players who only want to power game, other like the support units as well. If it was 100% up to me I would like to see all have a model before any re-sculpts, but I know that is not what everyone likes. My thought would be if we stick with top six, make it top three new and top three re-sculpts one of each for each tier. If the new is paid for and done, the next new goes up, same for the re-sculpt.

That's really the thing that puzzles me. Why the eras keep moving on with a rapid-fire publishing of new units. Nobody plays half of it. The book might sell, but people don't actually buy minis and sit down to play, for example, Age of War. People buy the DA books, so they get sculpted. But at the end of the day, good luck finding a DA game at a gaming store. So your minis (if you bought them) are pretty much museum pieces. The "stuff that sells" are minis which can/will be used as proxies for 3025 games, IMO.

A strong assumption, and one that does not ring true in my area, among others. It might be true with your group but don't assume that's the way it goes everywhere else. I've been watching the 3145 stuff sell like heavy metal hotcakes since the first of them started coming out.

We could no doubt get a second (or a 40th) sculptor but the bottleneck does not appear to be the sculpting. It is somewhere else within IWM.

I know its an extinct design but I've always liked it myself. And I want one just to paint up as a museum piece for a scenario.

I'd rather get more base ASFs than more ASF variants.  There are dozens of them that don't have any IWM minis.

I agree, Scotty. Those fighters that don't have a mini can be done first.
The examples I provided are what level of detail I'd like to see the old fighters redone with if we ever see any more of them re sculpted. I suppose that would require new art first.
The Corsair, for example, is one of the few to have been redone and looks better than the original.

I am wondering: Do one-off variants sell as well as the base variant? i.e.: Does the Warhammer "Lich" sell as much/more than the standard -8D or -8K?
Based on the fluff description, the "Lich" mini can also be used to represent the production Warhammer WHD-10CT.  I'm waiting for some IWM vouchers  to show up so I can order a few to use as WHD-10CT varients for a 3150 Capellan battaion I'm planning.    ^-^

Something for another section of the project.

I would love to see the parts created to build new variants of the phoenix mechs, specifically the Locust IIC 7 and the Shadow Hawk IIC 3.

If those are simple, it may well cut in the production cost by using standardized parts.

This is a great idea but I would like the parts to make a Locust IIC9 it is becoming one of my favorite mechs and my go to in the poker run. I would even give it a try in a grand melee.

Map scale would be big enough like the foam dropships.  Perhaps 'Mech scale will be quite expensive.

All variants of the Locust IIC differ only by their arm pods. That's an easy fix. From the Sarna entry, 3 different pods make the 4 known variants: ATM for the 5, something that can make both the HMGs of the 6 and the AP gauss of the 7 and a iH. med. laser of the 9 (the AMS from the Eagle could also serve here).

We would need an image of the 8 to have an idea of what they did. :p

EDIT:  crossed out a couple that are already on the 2015 release list.

Gùn just made it to the release schedule:

For an unofficial thread, that's a win.  ;)

Map scale version as its more likely to get made.

But I wouldn't say no to a Mech scale one.

As we now have three sizes of spheroid dropships, I would like to get a medium and large aerodynamic map scale dropship (Condor and Conquistador would be my vote)
