Thing is, I'm staying away from Pulses, not because I'm scared of them, because of the stupid overuse of munchydom!
Literally had an encounter about 17 years ago, against a tabletop player named ' Gunner ', now I was hosting a pair of Demo C, a Highlander IIC and two Points of standard Toads. Most of my units we're low in piloting and gunnery.
He ran a Rifleman IIC, a Kit Fox S and two Points of same Toads. He went clearly 0/3 for his IIC, and 3/5 for the rest..
Yeah after five rounds I walked away, told the judge he was cheating. Judge looked at the setting and said he wasn't, stating it was legal... really? He needed 8's to hit me at long range, every turn! ( I know it's not an illegal move, but to come to the table deliberately with this to teach someone a lesson is one thing. But to show off cause you can... is another. )
Needless to say, he kinda pissed everyone off, but at the time Honor rules where in play. I ended up starting the Grand Melee... on purpose. He was quickly eliminated and fumed when he had to pack up, on the way out he was told by the judge that such units will not be allowed ever again, 2/4 or higher next time.
Ran into him again a few months later... tried the same thing, really don't know what happened but he was escorted out of the building and told not to show up again. Found out later he was running a pair of Supernova 4's using 2/4 skills.
I consider anything using multiple Pulse / TC and a skillset of 3 or less munchy firing at Medium or even at Long!
It's a personal thing, and the fact I don't want to be known as a over abuser!
