We've run into a contradictory situation in our campaign concerning the rules for Maces, and as a result we've run into a difference of opinion between players about WHICH is the most current or most canon version.

On p.62 of the Tactical Handbook the rules clearly allow for a 90 ton mech to have a Mace, but on p.288 of the Tactical Operations book it seems to indicate that no mech over about 80 tons can carry a Mace.

Simply for the sake of clarity and in hopes of avoiding snark - Is there a "preferred" canonicity as to WHICH version of the Mace rules is the most acceptable or more correct to use?

Easy: current rulebooks always take precedence.  Tactical Operations overrides the Tactical Handbook in every instance, no exception, as does every book printed after the Handbook (such as IntOps and the LAM rules).

I'll be moving this thread to the TacOps board after a short while.
