(Answered) Vehicle fusion engine - second hit
« on: 25 February 2017, 15:51:12 »
Does a second critical hit to a vehicle with a fusion engine result in no additional effects? For the life of us we couldn't find the answer in TW. The tank in question was destroyed by damage so it was a moot point, but we were ready to rule 'no additional effects' for this game.

i'll rephrase this less awfully with some multiple choice

A vehicle with a fusion engine takes a second engine critical.

A) Nothing happens - unit is immobile with a turret lock but electronics and non-energy weapons continue to function
B) Unit is destroyed (for purposes of a TW game)
C) Unit suffers some other critical effect not engine-related
D) none of the above

ok, so i went back and re-re read TW and found the relevant passage on pg 193-194

Quote from: TW pg 193
If the item listed on the Ground Combat Vehicle Critical Hits Table does not apply in that location (the item doesn’t exist, only one such critical hit can occur per location and so on), simply move down the column until an applicable critical result is achieved... If a player reaches 12 without achieving a critical result, start over at 6 and continue down again.

side crits that result in a second engine crit cycle back to crew stunned every time (or the other crits if weapons are present). A second crit taken from the rear facing will result in an ammo explosion/vehicle destroyed.

good talk  :))

Happy to help. :)

Regarding stabilizers: without weapons installed, they aren't there and you jump up to the next crit.
