Probably not. I didn't play as much this year as last year. In fact, I don't think I played any TW at all. :-\

I would be greatly surprised if they were not. I know there were T-Shirts left on Sunday around noon when I left Origins, and I'm pretty sure there were still a couple 2SW books on the table as well, but I'm a little hazy on that.

Looking for some advice... I'll be in the region the weeks surrounding Gen Con and am strongly considering going. What are the must-do things while I'm there? I've been playing BattleTech for ~20 years and have also read most of the original Shadowrun novels so those are high on my want-to-see list. What else is fun to do while there?

My first GenCon was 1994. BT was HUGE. I mean huge. I went again 1997, 2000, 2003 (when it moved to Indianapolis), 2006, 2007, 2009, 2013, and 2014. I saw BT drop off sharply and climb back in popularity. OTOH, GC has gotten massive. So there is more of everything. The problem is, GC is too massive. Its crazy big and hotel space is incredibly hard to get and expensive next to the convention center (the facilty footprint keeps growing; wear comfy walking shoes at all time). I stopped going. But that's just my experience.

ok, 4 day badges sold out. Saturday badges sold out, most other single day badges in short number. Very Glad My Saturday evening is in one place, from 6 to close with Alpha Strike Turning Points 5 and 6. May try to generic my way into 3 and 4, and just make a day of it.

Gencon is going to be the largest ever for Gencon. When I started to go 14 years ago It had less than 15k people this year it is going to be over 60k. The Dealer hall is going to be nuts that Thursday morning! Hope Catalyst and IWM are ready for this.

I have never been to GenCon. I live in Indianapolis so it would be easy for me to go. I am really only interested in visiting IWM/CGL, and maybe buy faction dice, shirts, unique miniatures, etc... Do I have to register for that? Or can I simply walk in and go to the booths I am interested in?

Got to buy a day badge. I cant remember the price of a day badge but it is quite up there in price. So think about that if you want to do that. Saturday badges are sold out.

My Saturday was originally full, but then two of my events canceled themselves and then relisted because there was an 'error' in the listing. Of course, once that happened they filled back up immediately and I lost out on re-signing up. So, my Saturday is rather open now. I might go hang around the pods and BT tables and see if there are openings, or maybe go watch the Cosplay parade with the wife. I know I'm scheduled for the AS tournament and the What's up with Catalyst? event. I think I'm there for at least one of the AS Capellan Crusades segments as well, but I don't recall which one at the moment.

It's going to be crazy for sure, but I'm really looking forward to it!

You have to purchase a badge. Only ones available are Thursday or Friday, $75 each. Four day badges and, apparently, Saturday and Sunday day badges are completely sold out.
