First off, I have no idea what makes a good aerospace fighter, so I mostly took cues from existing fighter designs and crammed it so full of man-made-lightning it could just about burst. Named of course for one of my favorite new-era BT artists. ;D
The Xarbala is an Andurien design in the Republic era intended mainly to bolster the Duchy's depleted fighter forces during the Jihad, but also for export to similarly depleated neighbors. What the fighter lacks in subtlety, it makes up in numbers, using very easily sourced parts and a basic airframe with simple and easy to build fusion engines, a lance of Xarbala fighters can be produced for roughly the same price as a single Stuka or Kirghiz omni-fighter while rivaling their firepower, albeit in very short bursts.
