Axman (revised at 75 tons)

It's always bugged me that the Axman came in at 65 ton, when at 75 tons it would've been a much better battlemech. The axe alone would now be a deadly 15 point weapon, and a jumping 75 tonner is a scary beast.

That said, below are various existing Axman variants revised into a 75 ton chassis.

Only quibble is the TComp on the early models. NAIS wasn’t able to replicate them until the late 50s/early 60s. Otherwise, not a bad mod.

Interesting. MegaMekLab had them as being available in those time-frames as advanced technology, which I decided is exactly what the Axman would've been. I'll have to double check that on Sarna.net. Maybe someone goofed their year?

I'd pitch the TCs for weight saving and downgrade to a light engine.

The LFE isn't an available option for the earlier models, and dropping the TC in later models dramatically reduces their BV.
