Alpha Strike / Lance / Star / Nova requirements vs Pilot SPAs?
« Last post by Kastor on Today at 16:14:14 »
Let's say the Recon Lance, it requires units to have a minimum Move of 10". Not mechs, units.

My assumption is that a Mech + pilot (and his SLAs) = unit.

Ergo, a Move 8" mech, with a Speed Demon SLA pilot (+2" Move, +4" sprint) would not break the reqs for the Recon Lance?

Would love to be correct, it's definitely fluffy for exceptions like "Only Mike can keep up with the Recon Lance in a Warhammer!" :D

Ask the Lead Developers / Tamar Jagers

Trying to figure out whether they existed the entire time (ex since 2866) It never mentions they were dissolved, but in Tamar Rising it talks about them being reformed. I was hoping to have them as my universal lyran faction throughout the eras.

I think the only thing in Transformers that's less consistent than the timeline is the scale between characters and altmodes.

a sword ... a claymore!

I'm thinking a Knight, like a black knight ... or even The Black Knight.

None Shall Pass.

Sounds like a fine garrison force, Weirdo. Out of curiosity, how many Trackbikes do you plan on putting into a point? 2 like any other vehicle? Because I've been toying with the idea of organizing them like battle armor (5 to a point), if I ever get around of building my Barrens / new Oberon post-clan binary...

The Spirits' unofficial "totem" appears to be the blood kite (as in the actual predatory bird, as seen in Upsilon's logo), and since we've seen Mechs like the Stooping Kite, the Crimson Hawk and the eponymous Blood Kite itself, it stands to reason that any further "totem Mech" designs from the Spirits would almost certainly fall along similar lines.

Sounds fine to me, but since the Imperio (since you're referring to pre-Crusade times) has access to both MilitiaMechs and () ProtoMechs, there's no reason you couldn't throw in either of those options as cheap alternatives to BattleMechs, either. And since there seemed to be an implied intent of those colonies to bridge the gap between the Imperio and the Hansa in preparation for their future Crusade, it stands to reason that they might want to be prepared to see a little combat in a pinch.

I think pre-paint on one-off hero mechs is fine but not so sure about a whole lance of pre-painted. So far, the lance packs always have me picking and choosing between them. e.g. my Dragoon's are a Firefly, Hoplite, Shogun, Archer, Annihilator, and Marauder II - only two of which came in the actual Dragoons pack. If the whole pack had been painted Dragoon's colours, that wouldn't work out. But a single Blue / Gold Archer would have been okay.
