I have a photo of you playing Battletech at Gencon 2007 with Demongirl and a stuffed Cthulu. You're the sixth-cutest thing in the photo behind Demongirl, the Cthulu, two of the miniatures on the table, and a random chair.

Threadromancy!  O0

Hey guys, I'm slowly getting my feet back under me. I've asked the store for an August date: my intent is to run the Scorched Earth Worldwide Event on that date! I will post it as soon as I get it, and I'm hoping we can get a nice meaty bit of attendance to welcome the return of WWEs!

What became of the Lyran campaign against the Rim Worlds League?
Fortunately, the counter attack by the RWR succeeded in displacing the Lyrans, even after they succeeded in hiring some skilled mercenaries at the cost of 1 assault Mech. (Admittedly, the 4 mercenaries were all in Light Mechs)

But hey, your liege lord was able to sell the whole debacle to Richard Steiner as a "reconnaissance in force", providing solid data for the LCAF attack that followed but a few weeks later. So he didn't have to lock you all up for "going rogue". Yay!

Hm....same day as the MacGregor - Mayweather fight, but that's not until the evening. Assuming whatever plans I come up with for that don't turn into an all-day event, I should be there.

I'm organizing a side event for 5 aug at G&S if anyone here is interested.

1.  grinder: my grinder idea is everyone bring in one sheet for light, medium, heavy, and assault. you can bring something you like and hope to get or a stinker you hope you don't get. after a death you can pick a mech of the same class and go down in gunnery and piloting. starting with a 4/4, or pick a mech of the next weight class

2. I can pull a one off game from one of the scenario packs and have something like a company on each side. opinions/feedback/preferences?

That fight isn't going to be worth watching, and you know it :p

Unsure I can swing that day, but don't let that slow you down!

Solid premise, I presume Mech selection will be random?
Prob a good idea to print a few sheets for people who don't see your post.

I presume you want to do just one of these, right?
The scenario will be less work for you, so may be the best option if you get low response.

Interested, but I'd need more details.  All depends on if any conflicts come up (which have far to frequently and recently).

two options.  both will be noon until whenever.  a variantion of the standard grinder or a Tukayyid scenario

That's all about six days after my classes start. Not sure I'll be able to make it. But I'll look into it.

Next event: Saturday October 21 from noon till 6!

We'll be playing a grinder, but I'm going to try to accommodate people's personal design preferences. Want to make sure you get a particular ride? bring it along (or tell me so I can print it), and we'll get it rolling in the 'slot' that best accommodates it.
(it'll probably match the weightclass like normal, but depending on how weird a thing you bring, I may have to get creative as well...!)

We'll also use the event to discuss what to do 'next': perhaps another short campaign? Return to Solaris? Maybe something tourney, or something with custom designs?

Wraith TR-2 (the one with wings) (because that's what I'm painting next)
Marauder, any variant (because that's what I'm painting after that)

What about something using Chaos Campaign, track-based? The linked scenario seemed to be a hit, why not see if we can all keep a merc unit alive?

This is what my vote would be for, or something that Paul is comfortable with using that would allow a 'growing' campaign.

Paul, sent you an email as well.   >:D

We can do Tracks. Just realize that it can be pretty brutal...

Good day all-

I had the pleasure of joining the Games and Stuff Battletech crew for one Saturday months ago and kept meaning to make another event but my schedule never worked out.

I'm hoping there are future events so I can try to attend!
