Just because we are going to need a new thread for this show.

Maybe Vixen will come and spend more time on the show? Doubtful but would be nice.

Is it my imagination or have there been a lot of weird breaks for shows this year.  Not just Arrow, but Flash as well.

Not just those 2..  LoT had a 3 week break also.

Usually, when a show comes back from winter hiatus, does a couple weeks, takes a month off, another few episodes, and another break, etc. I'd think the network was trying to kill it.  But this is the CW.

Thanks. I was wondering about that. I noticed Flash wasn't on last night either. Does anybody understand why the delay?

The breaks are due to various special events(NCAA Basketball Championship, CMA Awards, and a bunch of other stuff I'll never watch) and I'm almost certain an arcane treaty with some Lovecraftian Elder God(because special events can't explain all the various breaks).

And even more so, when THOSE evenings that those special events are on, are NOT the same nights as these shows..
Now since most awards shows are on Sunday, i can understand why a show gets bumpped.  Same with when the NFL is on.  But a show on say wednesday when the NCAA is going on, on Friday??  What gives?

They also put in gaps so that they can hit particular weeks for the finales. Given that there are more weeks in the season than there are episodes, they gotta space 'em out somehow.

May is Sweeps Month and every network usually wants it hit shows to have their finales in May.

I prefer the method where the show stays off continuously for the duration, then comes back uninterrupted.  ABC, and USA use this method a lot.

Given how many special effects those three shows require, the breaks could also be there to get them done. CW doesn't have the biggest budget available, so they have to take it slow to hit the quality level they deliver. Following the motto: quick, cheap, good - pick two.

All the more reason to have two 11 episode seasons (Fall and Spring), rather than one 22 episode season stretched out over the same period.  (Or half seasons).

And another trick they could use, the same one I advocated instead of cancelling Green Lantern and Young Justice (oh I'm sorry, putting on indefinite hiatus, they haven't actually been cancelled) for Beware the Batman and Teen Titans Go.  Same trick ABC uses for Agents of SHIELD, while it is off, put another genre show in the same slot - keeping the target audience for every week.
Say, Legends of Tomorrow as a fill in for Flash, and Vixen (or Constantine, or whatever) for Arrow.

Exactly.  Having Agent carter during the mid season hiatus for Shield, keeps me interested..
So to me having LoT in the off season of Arrow/flash would be a good compromise..

Beware the Batman

I am clearly in minority in this but I actually like that one. Maybe it was having Katana working with Batman or maybe it was that most villains were once that I didn't already know instead of same once that we have seen done to death and having more League of Assassins did also help in my eyes. Teen Titans Go how ever has nothing on Young Justice and Teen Titans.

The Warner decision that Batman is ALWAYS a cash cow, and everything else is questionable at best, made me decide not to even give it a chance.  I won't support the belief that having Batman in the name or being Batman adjacent (but not titled Birds of Prey) means it is automatically going to be successful, so don't bother making shows about any other characters.

I get that. I am not biggest fan of Batman myself. Not only I feel like he is overrated but that his most vocal fanbase is full of obnoxious idiots that love him just because of Nolan's second movie. But still I ended up liking Beware the Batman.

Well..  What an episode.  Not much actually happened (well in my opinion), but Man was it well acted on all parts i thought..  I liked
the whole arc of that thief gal wanting revenge and using the voice box of Canary on people to get back at darhk.  BUT man i kinda agreed with Oli stopping her the way he did, even if i DID want to see her put a hurtin on ms darhk..  Wonder if they are going to get her to be the new canary?

Loved seeing lance first off be in denial, then grief, now acceptance, and even telling Ms lance that their daughter is gone for good..  Also liked that Nyssa reached out to help try consoling him...

Was also liking that Felicity realized she did wrong in dumping the team for her Own stupidity in hating Oli for keeping the secret of his kid from her.  Wonder if she's back for good??

The whole Ollicity subplot is killing this show for me. That and this poorly written season as a whole.

It wasn't a bad episode overall and the character interaction was pretty good again, something that even this show has problems with once in a while but usually manages to pull off fairly well.

This weeks ep though didn't have ANY of that plotline creep up on us.

This ep, and the funeral, happened effectively (TIME WISE) before he made his deal with Zoom to give his speed up for Wally.
