I pretty much agree which makes it a bit of a shame to me that they killed Darhk.

Heck who's even left as a decent villain for Team Arrow to face off against next season?  All the ones I can think of are either incredibly lame or already dead in the show(and I'll probably be tuning out if they bring anyone back from the dead).

Echo Kellum is a series regular.  Maybe we'll actually see him suit up this season.

Glad to see Mr Curtis is making a continued presence, and love that the might be making him into Mr Terrific..

I think trying to sustain a season-long arc is just too difficult with a show like this. And the writers did themselves no favor by introducing Darkh in the very first episode of the season instead of holding off on him and building tension. I'd like to see a season with 2-3 mini-arcs instead, maybe even tying them together in the end with a "this previously unseen villain was behind the whole thing!" twist around episode 18 or so. Don't put the burden of carrying the entire season on one villain's shoulders.

I think this was the biggest reason Seasons one and two did as well as they did. There was a bigger arc, but they have many smaller arcs taking up the majority of the story-time. And it made it fun.

Whereas, the long arc they had going felt kinda like a slog, which had me thinking "Come on! When will you just beat this guy?

after finally getting caught up I am glad season 4 is over with. I didn't like the whole thing with Darkh and found this to be a very disappointing season maybe its the new show runner I don't know but to me this season just stunk.

I always thought seasons 4 and 5 of Buffy were pretty lackluster...then they had the season with the musical :)

Grant and Melissa were both on Glee, and their fans who followed them to these shows would love to see them sing.

Personally, I find it amusing.  Probably not a good idea for a multi-part crossover, or even the central focus of an entire episode.  But amusing.

Hey, The Music Meister (as played by NPH) was an excellent episode of Brave and the Bold.

Nope, that was shit too.

Though I will admit at least that one had good vocal talent, as did the Buffy episode (for the most part). That's more than can be said for most shows that do a musical episode.

Melissa is Supergirl. Additionally, the guy who plays Winn (Jeremy Jordan) on Supergirl is also a fantastic singer.

While it had it's sticking points, I rather enjoyed it myself, especially "Walk through the fire"...

Granted, as much as I enjoy musical episides, it would be out of character for Arrow.  The Flash or Supergirl I could see but not Arrow or Legends...

Ah, didn't realise you were including other show's cast in that..
But you missed out Joe west.  His alternate earth role was as a lounge singer.

Yeah, but at least the flashbacks will finally be about Oliver and the Bratva, which we've only been waiting for since the first season. And they could possibly involve some version of this guy. And Anatoly will probably be back!

Apparently we're getting Artemis in S5, played by the same actress who stole the Black Canary kit.

Hmmm.  I wonder if it'll be the same character.  If it is while it'd make a certain amount of sense for her to switch to the Artemis persona it just seems like it'd be better if she just stayed new Black Canary and worked at living up to that legacy instead.

Either way it looks like Season 5 is going to be decent.

Though it does make me wonder if the talks for Supergirl going to CW were not already hashed out long before they were announced and the cast cuts across the various shows has been an effort to replace cast with lower salary alternatives to help afford Supergirl.
