OFF-MAP MOVEMENT (Special Command Ability)

AS Companion, p. 45

During our last AS game we had an argument on how to count the turns a unit has to stay off the map.

A unit with a move of 10" is leaving the map in turn 2 at point X and wants to reenter at X + 25 inches. It has to remain off the map for three turns and is put back on the map in the endphase of its turn of arrival.

turn 2   -   moving off the map
turn 3   -   1st turn off
turn 4   -   2nd turn off
turn 5...-   3rd turn off
turn 6   -   unit returns in End Phase

Is this correct?

The turn they are placed in the End Phase counts as one of the turns off map.  So in your example, on turn 5's end phase they would be placed back on the map.
