(Answered) Lance Special Abilities - When assigned?

Some of the lance abilities (like the Fire Lance's Sniper Ability) state they are assigned at the beginning of each turn.

Is this assigned before or after initiative is rolled?

After.

If there's a need to react to other assignments, they should be assigned in initiative order (loser assigns all, then winner assigns all).

Might I make a suggestion, perhaps eratta the AS Book to state rolling for Initiative is always the very first thing done in a phase with assignment of any special abilities done on a Loser First/Winner Second basis? Good blanket catch-all rule for goig forward.
