Panzer Vor! Practical or Funny cammo schemes?
« on: 16 December 2017, 12:13:53 »
So I have a new project: recreating the Ooarai Girls High School Sensha-dō/Tankery team in 1/100, mainly using Flames of War and Axis and Allies miniatures.

But, do I go for the more humourous, early paint schemes?

Or the later, more 'realistic' cammo schemes?

Thoughts?

Definitively humorous is the best.  8)

How about doing a set of each?

I prefer fun myself, but I've painted usual rank schemes as well for my small armor collection.

Does the game reflect paint scheme or things like the flags on the Stug?
Epitaph on an Army of Mercenaries

These, in the day when heaven was falling,      Their shoulders held the sky suspended;
The hour when earth's foundations fled,         They stood, and earth's foundations stay;
Followed their mercenary calling,               What God abandoned, these defended,
And took their wages, and are dead.             And saved the sum of things for pay.

No, but I could probably find appropriate substitutes easily enough.

well then if the rules don't penalize you for 6ft flags on a low-profile assault gun; go for it!

I already thought about a Main Gauce in StuG colors. But i must admit that, even if it is the closest resemblance in BT, it would be to small to get the details done.
