I'll post the Orion this coming Sunday (7/16).  This gives more time for posting Kit Foxes (either new posts or restoring old posts).  (I don't think mine's going to be painted by Sunday anyway.)

The new schedule through October is:
  • 7/16 (IS) - Orion (requested)
  • 7/30 (Clan) - Viper (Dragonfly)
  • 8/13 (IS) - Jenner
  • 8/27 (Clan) - Gargoyle (Man O' War)
  • 9/10 (IS) - Templar (requested)
  • 9/24 (Clan) - Mist Lynx (Koshi)
  • 10/8 (IS) - Cataphract (requested)
  • 10/22 (Clan) - Ice Ferret (Fenris)

Will you allow the Pendragon along with the Templars, as it is a derivative of the unit?

Sure, we can do this as a Templar family post.  So that would be the Templar, Templar III, and Pendragon.  Anything else?  (And what is it about the FedSuns and skipping II models?)

Maybe a ruling on the IIC units too, since its been asked several times.   (And yes, what about the Jagermech II and Enforcer II!)

My current intent is to handle the IIC 'Mechs separately from the Inner Sphere 'Mechs.  I may group them based on themes.  (So, for example, the Locust IIC and Jenner IIC may be in the same post.)

This isn't a strong intent and I'm willing to change it if people think it would be better to group the IIC 'Mechs with the Inner Sphere 'Mechs.

It's not disrespect. Yours is the 1R, I'd be doing the Muse Red ;)

Also, have a) a couple of hundred unpainted minis, and b) exceeded my budget for the year on some GenCon specials helpfully muled to me. Your Chimera with patented kebab attachment is on my shopping list ... for 2018 :(

Do we have any requests for November or thereafter?

My tentative list for November and December are:

11/5 (IS): Trebuchet
11/19 (Clan): Hellbringer (Loki)
12/1 (IS): Grasshopper
12/15 (Clan): Dire Wolf (Daishi)

On 12/29, as a New Year's special, I'd like to feature battle armor.  Is "1st generation battle armor" too broad?  (This would include Elementals, IS Standard BA, the Infiltrator Mk 1, and the Sloth.  Would this include the Gray Death BA too?)

Like that lineup.  I'll have stuff for more than one of them this go round.  :)

Too late to ask if the Supernova can be added to the crab/kind crab lineup?  Or is that being saved for another category?

I'm sorry.  Somehow I missed the question about adding the Supernova to the Crab lineup.  We'll revisit it later.

Does anyone have requests for fortnights starting in February?  My tentative lineup through May is:
  • Inner Sphere (2/11): Victor and Lu Wei Bing
  • Clan (2/25): Vapor Eagle/Goshawk
  • Inner Sphere (3/11): Clint
  • Clan (3/25): Pouncer
  • Inner Sphere (4/8): Grasshopper
  • Clan (4/22): Black Python/Viper
  • Inner Sphere (5/6): Enforcer and Enforcer III
  • Clan (5/20): Jenner IIC

One thing, what about another group type MotF?  Like having the Pouncer along with the Linebacker, Naga and Phantom as part of the Clan Wolf Sourcebook collection?  Or Kraken, Baboon, Hellhound and Vixen as the Clan Jade Falcon Collection?

On that same note, you could add canon schemes as well.  "Show us your best Kell Hounds" or something like that.  And that could be one mini, or a whole battalion.  8)

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond.  I'm behind on most things right now.

I hadn't thought about doing the Clan Jade Falcon and Clan Wolf Sourcebook 'Mechs as groups.  Since my impression is that the Clan Wolf Sourcebook 'Mechs are fairly unpopular, I would be fine doing all four of them at once.  I believe the Clan Jade Falcon Sourcebook 'Mechs are more popular and I am inclined do them over three separate weeks (Kraken and Baboon one week, the Incubus paired with the Incubus II one week, and then the Hellhound by itself.)

I am also not inclined to do canon paint schemes as part of the MotF format.  I would prefer that MotF focuses on the different miniatures and sculpts available, past and present.  That said, I am not opposed to running a separate "Unit of the Month" or "Unit of the Fortnight" series.

It's time to pick the next few months of miniatures.   I'm looking to plan out until the end of August right now.

If no one has any requests, my tentative schedule would be:
  • 6/4 (Inner Sphere): Panther
  • 6/18 (Clan): Bane/Kraken
  • 7/2 (Inner Sphere): Stalker
  • 7/16 (Clan): Clan Wolf Sourcebook part 2: Linebacker and Naga
  • 7/30 (Special): Artillery vehicles (both IS and Clan)
  • 8/13 (Inner Sphere): Warhammer
  • 8/27 (Clan): Warhammer IIC

I plan to wait on the Classics in the new boxed sets until about 3 months after release, to give people enough time to buy the new boxes, paint, etc.  If they are released by GenCon, that probably means we'll see the first of the new Classics in November or December.

For those 'Mechs with IIC variants (e.g. the Griffin and Griffin IIC), I may pair up the original and IIC variants in a month (like my tentative schedule for the Warhammer and Warhammer IIC above).

It's time to figure out the next few months of minis.

Luciora requested the Shogun so I've scheduled that for September.  The other spots are tentative.

9/10 (Inner Sphere): Shogun
9/24 (Clan): Marauder IIC
10/8 (Inner Sphere): JagerMech and JagerMech III
10/22 (Clan): Horned Owl (Peregrine)
11/5 (Inner Sphere): Stalker
11/19 (Clan): Turkina
12/3 (Inner Sphere): Spider
12/17 (Clan): Baboon (Howler)
12/31 (Special): Second generation Battle Armor (Raiden, Cavalier, etc.)

I will tentatively schedule the Vixen (Incubus) for February or March 2019 since IWM will be releasing a Vixen 6 miniature in Q4 this year.[/li][/list]
