Deadborder's MegaMek Icon Collection
« on: 03 August 2012, 18:54:42 »
I'm a MegaMek Icon snob. What can I say?

I've contributed a large number of icons to the current MegaMek build (A good chunk of the TRO85 icons, for example), but there are a few ones in my own personal collection that aren't in a cirrent build which I thought I'd share.

Let's be fair... the current Icons for the Phoenix Hawk IIC kinda suck. These are my "alternative" versions, with Missile (2, 4), cannon (1, 3, 5, 6, 7) and "other" versions.

Alternate Eisenfaust. I think mine's better, but that's just me.

The current Dev Build has a nice new Warhammer IIC 4 Icon. For consistency and stuff I put together icons of the other "reseen" versions, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.

Make sure you submit these to the Sourceforge tracker so they can be incorporated into a future release if DarkISI approves of them. I myself really like the Warhammer versions ;)

Don't show up in Firefox (not even highlight all artifacts) but do in Chrome, but even then I'm not sure if I'm seeing them all

The guy wants a zip so he can download them all at once instead of right click downloading - at least if I'm understanding correctly ;)

Ryoken II; again, I think it's better then the current icon, but, as allways, YMMV

I love your new units, hope they make it into the next MM release.

Even though MegaMek doesn't technically support it *yet* (it can be done now if you treat them as immobile), I'd love to see a Rattler and Wyrm (they are multiple hexes, so could be much larger), plus, lots of fighters/dropships and some of the big navy support vehicles haven't been done yet.  Also, the castle brian buildings would be nice to have as well.

Shadow Cat II. Because, again, I am an icon snob.

To use these Icons, you need to save them to your /MegaMek/data/images/units folder. You'll then need to modify the "mechset.txt" file to point to the new unit, for example...

For a change of pace, have some re-seen/Phoenix Stingers. Includes the STG-5R (could also work for the -5T), STG-6L and the STG-3P, the best Stinger ever.

New TRO! New Icons!

The Cadaver, complete with skullcap and grandpa arms. This one was surprisingly hard to do.

The Tiburon, which is a rather nifty looking 'Mech and very... shark-y, I guess.

And, of course, the Vulture Mk IV. How could I not do this one straight away?

Wow DB, you are awesome!

These look like huge contributions to megamek!

I had a hard time finding the differences between the wammer ll C varients 3 & 5 until I zoomed in.  That is petty  incredible attention to detail if you ask me.
