For all looking to find suitable 6mm cars
« on: 19 April 2011, 10:11:29 »
If your like me, that its frustrating as hell to see big stompy robots in a city, but no cars!  I have searched all the usual suspects, from architectural models to z scale, to the funky looking irregular miniature cars, and I think I have found some that may be acceptable to me:

company is called Reviresco  and the cars are scaled to 1/300.
They come in packs of 15 for 7.50.  I ordered a couple,  i'll let ya all know how they paint up, and size up
here's the site if interested http://www.tin-soldier.com/  the cars are listed under science fiction Days of empire

Now I need to see one squished under the foot of a mech.

[soapbox] thats funny, because I know of a great way to make die cast cars crushed without ruining them.  take the car, wrap it in foil making sure to pick up detail lines, then remove car and slightly smush foil mold.  fill with resin, or lightweight hydrocal, and BOOM  smashed up car

The cars and bus look right, but do you have a pic of them with a mech yet, to show scale?

There are also "armed" versions of the civilian cars for those of you who like to pit your mercs against the poorly local yokel rebels and the like...  }:)

Finally, someone you can pick on in a LOCUST

They also produce civilians for those of you who want screaming locals who are scrambling out of the paths of the 15m tall engines of death...

Rotundas for all.

I think I have some of those Irregularminis ones.

I use them as Rotundas or objectives for certain games.

These look very interesting.

A while back I bought a bunch of those egg containers that had small Transformers cars in them for the first movie.  I have a bunch of Primes, Jazzs, Bumblebees, and some other vehicles that are close enough for my math.  These could be fun too.  :)

Here are the "battlecars" for comparison...

The Camera crews, reporters and firetrucks in the Riots line also sound cool.

many years ago, about the same time battletech was just getting popular, there was a game called car wars...   does that count?

There still is.

There was also GW's Dark Future, back when they were a game company and not the sad, overpriced joke they are today.

Got them in today, as well as a bunch of other stuff
here are some pics showing scale.  they seem a bit on the small side, but look to fit in well

With Archer, Demolisher II, Mobile HQ, Karnov, Morningstar City command vehicle, Rommel, Scorpion light tank, and Davion infantry

I think they scale pretty well.
