Not 100% sure I'll be able to contribute, but my vote would be for static rotors, to stay consistent with every other VTOL mini yet made for Battletech.

Etched brass (static) would be ideal, but I don't think IWM is into that.

I won't attempt the math, but here's a couple updates on the sculpt.
I did up an LRM 15 pod for the alternate configuration. Not sure IWM will include it, but it's an easy part to add in.

Also decided what to do about the rotor. Instead of 2 flimsy ones, I sort of merged the two levels into one. I think it'll cast better and hold up better.

And one more, I realize that casting is going to be tough with the fins. I'd like to keep them attached to prevent dealing with super fiddly little fins. But I might need to make the tail separate. Here's a possible joint I setup for it:

The fins have to be thicker as well, there's a minimum scale for thin edges when casting.

Pro-tip: when embedding an image in a post, use "img height=X" where X is the number of pixels you want. I go with 480 for readability.

I think I got it. Size is better now. (I'm used to generating really high res 2D images from the 3D program! Bigger than those even.)

I am thinking of donating. However, 100 might be a bit much. At least for a few weeks. If one has stepped up by my first check in August I could put 100 then.

Just a minor not but assuming its a coaxial rotation, the blades leading edges would be opposite of each other. In this case the 'triangle' shape would have the opposite sides facing each other. (Opposite side = short side adjacent to the 90 angle)
Maybe just do similar to the Donar's blades with being flat and some minor detail on the leading edges?

Dak, are the rotors a single part, with two sets of blades, or are they two separate parts, like the old warrior sculpt?

My plan is to make both rotors one fused piece. 3D printed resins are on the brittle side (although I'm not sure the exact stuff IWM has printed) and assembling them is a trial so I hope it's a good alternative to two separate ones.
I think this thing is already looking like seven pieces which sounds like a lot for a pretty small VTOL. (Main body, left wing, right wing, left launcher, right launcher, rotors, and tail.)
