Title: Liberation of Terra Vol 1
Post by: Duke on 24 August 2017, 00:56:33
So im not sure if this is the right place for this, mods feel free to move this if necessary.

Ive been collecting all things battletech since the early 00's, pretty much from fanpro onwards. Usually I grab the item as soon as it hits shelves, but sometimes thats not possible. So ive been going back and trying tograb what few things I missed. Right now the sole items I dont have are the two liberation of terra books. The second volume seems to be available everywhere still around msrp or cheaper, but I cant seem to find the first volume anywhere for less than ridiculous pricing.

So my question to you guys, does anyone know of a place online (or local to central Florida) where I might grab this book (dtf, id rather not do pdf, unless some kind of print on demand is my only option) for a reasonable price?

Probably Amazon would be your best bet really.  Not ideal but thats really it.

Vol I seems to be the far more rare of the two. Amazon's stock is insane due to pricing bots. Even on Ebay I'd expect to pay far more than the MSRP. You might also want to join the BattleTech International Trade and Sell group on Facebook and inquire if anyone has a copy they'd be willing to sell you.

Yeah, last I checked low price on amazon was just shy of $300. Which is nuts.

Checked ebay last night and there werent any even listed.

Flight of Fantasy Albany NY may be worth a try. They have the largest collection of out of print game stuff I have ever seen.

Glad to see arbitrage is still in effect for barely-out-of-print BattleTech books. ::)

If anyone spots one anywhere, id be happy to buy it off their hands if they want to play middleman, provided the price is right.

Arbitrage..?

Not intending to describe the context of ColBosh's post, but arbitrage is buying something from one market with the intention of selling it on another market for a profit. Think buying something locally off of Craig's List and selling it for far more on Ebay.

not that bad, no... you'll occasionally see some outrageous prices on the Succession Wars box, 3025 House Marik book, the occational x4 msrp intro box, etc... but rarely $300-500

Didn't notice I had any messages till he mentioned it here.

Put me on to a place in Maryland that had some, so hopefully will ship to Florida.

I'd checked eBay before posting here, didn't have any listings for volume 1. Plenty for 2 though.
