Pg. 21 of Blood Legacy (the start of chapter 2) has the Dire Wolf at a location described as "Beyond the Periphery". This seems to suggest it made the trip. Discussion later in the chapter mentions that the Dire Wolf had taken on a number of dropships carrying many important people so that warriors could meet with their house leaders.
