Hey,
Some of you are so exacting in your demands for perfection but the "50% taller than the Atlas" crowd are sooooo far off in their perceptions! This is already a 200+ ton mech by its current sculpting - way over the 150 tons it is supposed to be. To be that much taller AND maintain the appearance of the art would make this a 400+ tonner! Seriously, take as an example, a 100 ton mech - preferably chicken-legged and a 50 ton mech. Now, melt each leg, arm, and torso of the 50 tonner and keep these 5 globs of metal separate. Apply the appropriate glob to the corresponding body part on the 100 tonner in a more or less even layer. Do you see that the increase in size would not be all that dramatic? It would not add 50% in height. At 100 tons in size, adding 50 tons more does not add 50% in height. The Omega sucks up most of the increase in mass with its massively HUGE/THICK legs, massive gun arms, triple gauss rifles and hulking torso! The rule stating that a mega mech is level 3 was/is plain stupid and short-sighted - maybe okay for humanoid bipeds but especially not appropriate for chicken-legged and quad mechs with massive legs, arms and wide/bloated torsoes. Just sayin'...
