(Answered) Advanced WarShip Construction Rules
« on: 01 August 2011, 16:23:33 »
I was recently inspired to build a tiny WarShip by Cray's Mini WarShip contest.

So I decided to go with a mock up of a Gazelle weighing in at 3,000 tons using a Sub-compact Core (mainly because they are meant to blend in).

In TacOps it says rules to build tiny WarShips will be in StracOps and in StracOps it says rules for the equipment is in TacOps - in other words no rules other than a Sub-compact core weighs 50% mass and fits onto a hull 2,500-25,000 tons.

Going through the standard WarShip construction rules using the standard WarShip rules doesn't work because you need a high SI for a WarShip to mount any armour whatsoever SI mass /50 for max tons of armour.

Looking at all canon WarShips few have enough SI for their armour, obviously they were built before StacOps so is this errata or a new construction rule?

My three main Alternate Timeline with Thanks fan-fiction threads are in the links below. I'm always open to suggestions or additions to be incorporated so if you feel you wish to add something feel free. There's non-canon units, equipment, people, events, erm... Solar Systems spread throughout so please enjoy

Armor is calculated based on the Structural Integrity Mass, not the Structural Integrity value.

Apologies for the delay.
