First off, this was entirely Von Ether's idea to do this. I just... cleaned it up a little and finished it in one go.

This thread has direct links to the Master Unit List entries for the basic 24 BattleMechs in the Introductory Boxed Set, collated to help beginners.

Now, for the Clan Invasion MUL entries.

Note: If a BattleMech lacks a link here, it's because it's strictly worse than the Succession Wars era version - for example, the AS7-D Atlas has M3 A/S 10/8 S/M/L 8/8/3 IF1 for 19 points, and the AS7-K has M3 A/S 10/4 S/M/L 3/3/3 OV2 IF1 AMS CASE for 22 points!

The Cicada has two valid choices - the CDA-3M has a cheap price with a solid punch for the speed, but the CDA-3G has PRB, RCN, ENE, and twice the Armor. So they're both included.

(Look, Von Ether, I don't WANT to steal your thunder, and your topic is necessary, but it needs to be D-O-N-E, and I don't know why you haven't finished it.)

The AS7-D Atlas is 5/5/2.  You do not ever add the LRM1/1/1 and AC2/2/0 to that.

No thunder stolen.  O0

I'm flattered that someone grabbed the torch and ran with it across the finish line and then some. I was only going to the first 24 in the next few days and call it quits. I don't have the background to know which iconic Clan mechs need to be done in 3050. Never mind Jihad.

So my hat off to you, good sir!  =|9)

And many thanks!

Even when you correct that, I think the 3025 design is vastly undercosted. If anything it should cost more. What does your personal PV system say? (Remember that the MUL is full updated so the stats are the proper AS stats. No need to add damage anymore.

I also think the two 3050 designs are more interesting. It makes you think about your heat more. And in my default demos, all LRM have Heat-Seeking. >:D

Starter set "bonus" mechs.

Old starter set:
Thor (Summoner) Prime - [Card Only]
Loki (Hellbringer) Prime - [Card Only]

New Starter Set:
Mad Cat (Timberwolf) Prime - [Card Only]
Battlemaster BLR-4S - [Card Only]
......3025 Battlemaster BLR-1G - [Card Only]

figured a reseen Battlemaster figure would best be represented by the 'image mech' of the reseen TRO. but the 3025 main variant is included for those who want to run it at the lower tech level.

NCKestrel pointed out your error on the AS7-D values, but I'd like to point out something about the AS7-K.  OVL and OV 2 means it can do *five* damage at Long range.  Definitely something to consider, eh?

D'oh! I actually have a bunch of old cards from the pryderockindustries website, and the weapons are figured separately on those... I really do need to print out the new ones. :x if I had money....

*ahem* Thanks, Glitterboy. Hey, does the new box have a release date?

Von Ether, my system says the AS7-D Atlas costs 52, and the AS7-K costs 48 - that hit the -K takes to structure really lowers its overall points cost, and because the Medium range band has the *2 multiplier the -D's higher Medium value kicks it up a notch. Still, I think that at 4 points cheaper it's still fair.

...Damnation and perdition. I have to redo the numbers in that thread; I was using my PRI cards to figure up the costs of the Inner Sphere 'Mechs... Still, shouldn't be off by more than a point or two.

I vote for sticky thread!

Hey guys.

Thanks again. I appreciate the teamwork.

I just wish I had the same IRL. I have a few people who are full of ideas of what I should do, none are volunteering to do them.

Hopefully, others who have more time and a regular schedule will jump in soon.

no problem. the bonus mechs are extras and don't have record sheets in the box, AFAIK, but for alpha strike that's not a major issue. as for a release date.. no idea. last i heard they were shooting for Christmas, but that might have changed. personally plan to grab one for myself.. the rules would be nice, but the Mini's will be awesome. most of my current collection is old 3rd ed box set Plastech's, having more variety would be nice. i do wish i could have gotten the plastic Thor and Loki when they were available on the battleshop though.. love the Loki (coyote that i am), and the Thor is rather nice. but a madcat and a battlemaster are nice too. will be my 2nd angry kitty, and my 4th beemer. :)

Even before Alpha Strike, I was planning on getting a second box so I could have two companies painted in the same scheme for any future merc campaigns. My current set is painted per lance, per house.

Would it be a violation of Catlyst copyright/policies for one ofus to size these for card inserts and make a PDF available?

I really don't have time right now, but after the new year, I might be able to put something like this together.

This link gives you standard infantry platoons.

When I add everything up from the Succession War era I get 749 points.  does that sounds right to everyone else?

What is the preferred method to print AS cards? I am not sure I'm doing things correctly when i printed a card (from a PNG file i created from copy/paste of the image from the MUL website. I'm concerned because the printed image is HUGE, the full size of the sheet. When i played the Clan Invasion event late last year, the sheets provided were more closer to 1/2 a full sheet size (but larger than a 3x5 card)... what am i doing wrong?

Top menu, under Force, select AS Force Builder.

that doesn't seem to work either (it generates a mostly blank page with a notation of zero units)...

I copy the cards into a word document. That way I can resize them to fit the desired number of cards in a single page, plus add any notations for formation name, SPAs, and so forth.

I also like to make mini-MULs, where I make a list of all the minis I have for a given faction, then download the AS cards for all the variants my faction gets of each of those units and put them all in one document. Really handy for comparing multiple variants at a glance, or building forces without going online.

It takes a little effort but i do like the Word doc method (the hard part is making each AS pic the same resolution)...

Easy for me, I just set them all to the same width.
