Tell me about it.  I loved the Tomorrow people (but it got cancelled) and like the 100 (which has been renewed).  The rest can go to heck in a handbasket.

Yeah, I have been watching Netflix and Hulu for the last several years.  I did watch the SciFi channel before they became the Ghost Channel, their programs are linked through Hulu too . . . and honestly the only thing they have on might be Defiance but I have not kept up with that show.

I started watching Arrow towards the end of season 1, wife got into it so I got to restart, and we were looking forward to Flash.

TV has sort of cracked the door to a new paradigm the internet offers but they are still too tied up in their broadcasting infrastructure, forgetting they are a entertainment company first.  HBO, Netflix and Hulu seem to be the future with their own programs which stream around your schedule- at least after the first airing.

I've on and off watched various shows like Arrow, The Clone Wars and Blue Bloods but nothing steady beyond a couple of episodes whenever I can. Things might change with Flash, Gotham and Star Wars Rebels.

Last night's episode was very good.  Very nice with the flash backs to his childhood.  Dr Wheel is wanting to protect Barry at all costs? Something is definitely different about him

Enjoyed last night's episode too, but I'm concerned that they're going to go the Smallville route with a weekly bad guy. Arrow does it too, to a lesser extent, but the villains he eliminated were actually meant to be eliminated. Smallville eventually had to have its own Arkham just to house Clark Kent's nemeses.

Also, really liking Detective West in this one. Great actor and I think he adds to the show's appeal. I got teary-eyed a few times in his scenes.

I never got into Smallville because have never been a superman fan. But yeah the back story regarding det. West when he was still a patrol cop were very good.

Sure, the body got carted off, but is he really dead with the ability to regenerate?  He will go through a collection of bad guys I think for the first half of this season- its the growing phase.  They have already tied in the longer term story arcs with the Doc.

Besides Gorilla Grod who else really were the bad guys that the Flash always beat up on?

The Trickster was a recurring villain but Flash didn't really seem to beat up on him.  I'm not sure if this most recent villain(and I too suspect he isn't actually dead) is supposed to be a replacement for Mirror Master or not but that's another recurring Flash villain I know of.  I won't be surprised if Weather Wizard is not as dead as people think.  Darn that's all the Flash villlains I can think of atm.

Yeah me too but DC has more live action shows out than Marvel at this time :P

So Dr. Wheel what is he really up too?  Last night towards the end during his flashback added a bit of a plot twist

I understand they are doing some backstory with the flashbacks . . . but I really really want them to go away from that, its the Arrow show's device.  I DO think its interesting they are turning the facility into a prison . . . Ollie will need it eventually too.

Agreed but I feel that they are almost finished.  Wondering if Amanda Waller will be stepping in any time soon to start taking the prisoners?

Oh most certainly.  Have to set up the CADMUS program and it's inevitable failures a bit more after all.

Great episode last night and loved the ending to introduce Heat Wave I believe?  Finally a Super Villain that survived and wasn't captured!

Pretty sure that was Heat Wave at the end. Real name matched from what I remember...

Loved this weeks ep.  Felicity's role was great as a foil to Barry's panning for his old GF, and shows what he COULD have if he decides to.  I loved the baddie and that he got away.
Though i wonder, does our Doc know who the arrow is?  Or is he in the dark just like the rest of the team (minus barry) is?

I think they are building Wells up quite well, the side they showed threatening Sisko makes him quite gray- the ends (protect Barry Allen) justify the means with him.  A bad guy getting away was good, he displayed the attitude described by the detective consistently through out the episode.  Even to the point of thanking Flash for challenging him.

Felicity was very good, making the same verbal faux pas she did/does around Ollie- 'I want to see it' was a great line.  They do sort of toss it up there about her and Barry . . . makes me wonder about the train conversation, if it was to gauge his interest vs coffee chick.  When on Arrow he said look him up if she ever tired of waiting around for Ollie . . . then she finds out by the conversation that as someone else said, he is pining for someone else.

Final note- VERY happy we got NO flash backs in this episode!

Edit-  Just saw the trailer for next week . . . Clockmaster or whatever from Arrow appears as do two or three other bad guys!  AND Dr Wells is talking to someone (maybe himself) in the secret room!
