Hey, would you mind going into detail on what your playing field is composed of?
What are the level 1s and 2s made of?
What do the red hexes represent?
What do the dots represent?
Did you guys build those different hex play areas?
thanks!
I built the terrain pictured and I call it MoparHex 2.0 :D
I probably should do a tutorial on how it went together. All of the supplies to build it came from Home Depot and Michaels other that the flocking and trees.
The sides are wood base board about 2 1/4" tall. The bottom is very thin particle board with a 2" foam core and then another thin sheet of particle board. The top is then covered in Bondo body filler. The whole thing is then painted in concrete floor epoxy. Then that is coated with 5 coats of magnetic paint. Then paint the top in a base color (green, brown red or whatever). Then flock lightly.
The level one hill is 1" foam and the Level 2 is 2" foam. All are topped with the magnetic paint and base color. The hills and other features have magnets to hold them to the board.
The red hexes mean nothing. That board is the base for the Desert Mountain board. The white dots are there to show where the mountains go. That way you can set it up without having to look at the paper map.
I built everything myself. I currently have 7 boards built - two city boards (black) , one lava river, two green hills and two desert mountains.
