(Answered) AMS versus Capital Missiles
« on: 18 July 2017, 00:10:34 »
Relevant section of Total Warfare is page 130.  Additional information that may be relevant can be found on Strategic Operations pages 96 and 97.

I tried searching but found nothing.

Page 130 pretty clearly states that AMS has no effect versus Capital Missiles.  Pages 96 and 97 of Strategic Operations offer some contradicting rules on the subject.

So I just want to make sure I am understanding correctly that the rules on page 96 and 97 of Strategic Operations are optional rules and not meant as a full contradiction of page 130 of Total Warfare.

Or have I missed an errata somehow?

The Advanced AA rules are under a section that states:

"All of these rules are optional and the participants should agree in advance to their inclusion in a game." (p. 94)

As such, your hunch is right that the rules in TW aren't contradicted.

That's what I thought.

Just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something.

Thanks.
