LAMs in Fighter Mode
« on: 02 December 2017, 20:36:59 »
So I was looking through the MUL & I'm not finding any of the Land-Air Mechs with Fighter Mode stats.

Do we know if this something they will be adding at some point?

The cards already have the stats you’re looking for. Look in the special section. It’ll include two additional movement modes for WiGE and aerospace thrust.

Doh,  I totally missed that.

So next question is,  what "Role" are they as ASF then?

Attack, Dog Fighter, Fast Dog Fighter, Fire Support,  Interceptor?

I'm looking at the PHawk & it just has the "Mech" role of Striker

Remember, LAMs have been, and always will be, your friend mechs merely pretending to be fighters.

In terms of role, I'd say they only get the mech role. To get a force that uses aero roles, you probably have to use actual aero units.

Agreed, lol.

I was just tinkering with an old DC style Aero Wing & 2 of the 36 Fighters were actually LAMs & noticed the issue.

I guess it makes sense that not everything has a "Role".  I noticed by L1 Karnov doesn't either so not surprising I guess.

Okay, so as long as the other 4 fighters qualify the squadron for something then I guess I can still work it out.

Is there anything stopping the LAMs from being a Support Lance that supports an ASF Squadron, thus accessing their ASF-centric SPAs?
