Two days down, so what happened?
-
That is the million dollar question
-
Sorry, that was me. I slipped on the hamster wheel, and woke up thirty feet away, with a concussion.
Keep telling them they need a non-skid liner(or to let me use shoes), but noooo...
-
Tech issues at the backend, is what I've heard. No hacks. (Other than that Kit fella ... nah, less than 15%-20% chance that's not a joke ;) )
-
Well what ever happened, i am just glad its back up.

I would never steal Kevin Killiany's gig.
At least not until he's dead.

Me after the first day
"Oh it must just be down for maintenance, it will be up soon."
Day two;

Glad to know I wasn't the only one who experienced this.
I mean, I'm not glad it happened to everyone--just happy that it was actually a real outage and not a location problem.
cheers,
Gabe

We live a bleak, meaningless, grey existence. Watching you fly into a wall every few weeks is our only consolation. It will be a cold day in hell we give that up for a little site stability. [madflame]

One thing i would love to know. WHy is it, if the Forums side of CBT is down, but the main site is up, there can't be some 'message' on the main site saying "Sorry we are down, issue is being worked, please bare with us" or something... ?

Because we'd really prefer not to encourage naked surfing of the BT site.

Joking aside, it is a valid suggestion. One that I wholeheartedly agree with. It should also be mentioned on the twitter account. There is no reason that Randall can't mention it.

Many-a-time we can't access the backend of the main site when the forums pull the good 'ole 500. But you're right, having a little heads up via the social media streams could be nice.

This time around though it wasn't just the BT forums that were down. It was the BT forums, Shadowrun forums, and the main Catalyst website. I didn't try the Leviathans page though. Don't think anyone would have noticed that going down...
