This show was great. Thoroughly enjoyed the premier episode.

I confess, I saw this before yesterday. The pilot was leaked months ago, and I'd already made up my mind that it's a good show. They're airing them the day before Arrow here (which is tonight, yay!) but right before Agents of SHIELD. I can live with that.

I caught a few things that I missed when I first saw it too.

That nod between Dr. Wheels and Dr. Snow when he was talking about "metahumans" was not that subtle, but I missed that the first time.

Looking forward to more eps!

I find it ironic yet pretty cool that John Wesley Shipp who is playing Barry's dad played the Flash back in the late 90's

Also, they're bringing back Amanda Pays to reprise her role as Tina McGee who'll be working for STAR Labs. Pretty neat!

Nice. I really like the cast for this show. can't wait for next week's episode. Dr Wheel has me thinking though especially at the end of the episode but I can't exactly pinpoint what he is going to be down the road

Anyone else laugh at seeing Gorilla Grodd's open cage? Wonder how they are gonna pull that off, since he is a talking, intelligent but evil...ape. Might seem a bit too corny for live action TV vs cartoons or comics but hopefully they get him right.

Definitely liking this show, it has a somewhat hopeful theme running throughout but it doesn't seem terribly corny either, surprisingly enough. The cast, especially Barry, all seem really good as well.

Just saw the pilot, they aired it the next day on CW though Hulu only had it for the Plus folks- bit silly on their part IMO.

Not too much I did not expect for the episode having seen the 5 minute trailer BUT . . . awesome hooks with some surprises still- Grodd, the article from the future, Ollie & Barry both saying cool while watching the other was hilarious, having a cop know from the start which is opposite from Arrow.

IIRC the writers from Arrow were going to work on Flash, I hope they do not have any more flashbacks during his running. It would be too much reaching for something Arrow makes work but does not need to be in this new show as it needs its own stamp. I think Ollie sets the tone when he says the Flash can encourage and give hope to his city while it is implied that he lacks that ability, just visiting those who fail the community.

The pilot was pretty good overall and has me sold. Kind of saw the ending coming. I'm not familiar enough with Flash to know where that is going yet but it'll be interesting to watch.

Gorilla Grodd may never be addressed, he escaped during the explosion and is "elsewhere". Not being familiar with The Flash, at least not very, I am intrigued. I enjoy Arrow and know all the references, this not so much. I am curious about who the yellow costumed Flash was in the speedforce, we know that Barry's Dad (Henry) was apparently able to tap into it also since he took Barry so far away when his mother died.

Curious, I like it.

Like Arrow I think they can do a lot to make the series their own since its not Batman, Spiderman, Superman or the XMen . . . less for most people to know so they can tell their own stories while still falling back on the rich source of material provided by the comics.

It was better than I expected. I liked the old Flash show, and I really liked the pilot for this one. I'll probably end up watching it on Hulu though since the commercials for other CW fare fill me with such rage that I want to throw stuff at the TV.

Okay...Just looked it up...the replacement partner for Iris's dad is Eddie Thrawne (IE Professor Zoom...The Flash's arch nemesis).

Ok, coming from a Kiwi here... so I don't know how bad your commercials are... but. I don't bother watching commercials anymore, DVR style setups are your friend.

Most of our commercials are lousy, but the CW commercials take the taco. Apparently every other CW show that isn't DC Comics based is emo kid drivel. The DVR will save my sanity possibly. Possibly.
