Kado: The Right Answer - 4 & 5
I'm not entirely surprised with how the UN, and the world at large, reacted to the WAN announcement. I do admit the solution that was delivered at the end of ep 5 was interesting. Why yes, the Japanese Government will turn over the WAN we've been given. But hold on, we've discovered how to DIY WAN as well. So here's how to do it!
Oh this is gonna make for an interesting story now...
Re: Creators - 5
As if the fights from eps 1 & 2 wouldn't of drawn some kind of government attention. The showing up of a giant robot sure would of brought out the response that Team Meteora got this ep. I do really hope there'll be some character growth with Rui Kanoya, the Mecha pilot. Even his "Creator" was getting rather annoyed at Rui's passive/agressive nature: "I thought it would be more interesting if the story took a plot twist when he got defensive. I never thought I'd deal with him in real life...." and "I admit I'm the one who did the character design, but he's a lot more trouble than I expected."
Oh that character bit is gonna get a bit old rather quick.
It was nice was seeing the 'disagreement' between Yuya and Team MUP that Yuya mentioned in ep 3. Though also seeing Alicetaria's kidnapping of her "Creator", yea if the government didn't do something, heaven help us all...
It seemed a bit 'off', but seeing Meteoria getting dressed down on what she 'borrowed', and some what used in the ep 1 fight, was necessary, I guess. At least why Meteora was using rocket launchers was explained...
But the, well expected, bombshell that Sota finally realized that "Oh Crap! The MUP was created by my recently deceased friend!" I'm surprised it came this early in the show. I would of expected it in maybe a ep or two or closer to the halfway point.
But something came to mind after watching this weeks ep and thinking back to last week's ep and the revelation that Meteora's "Creator" is deceased. If, say, something like the events of Re: Creators happened in the US and classic supers like Superman or Batman popped up and looking for their "Creators". Since the original creators of those specific characters have passed on, could who ever is handling the writing/artwork duties even fill in as the "Creators"?
I've got to admit, Re: Creators is my favorite show of the season so far.
Otherwise...
Alice & Zouroku - It's a supernatural Punky Brewster. I've been enjoying this show. Now that the seriousness of the first arc has been done, maybe we can get back to a little more light-hearted storytelling.
Frame Arms Girl - Yea, it's Busou Shinki, the next generation. The lead human girl is growing on me and the majority of the FA Girls have been introduced. I still like the Manga version a bit more, but the Anime series is a solid watch each week.
Clockwork Planet - As absurd of a premise this show has, the main characters seem to work decent enough. I'm pleased some of what was done in the Manga wasn't adapted. Right now the Anime is about 1/2 to 2/3 through what I've seen of the Manga scanlations. So the pace is going good enough.
Grandblue Fantasy The Animation - I like what I've seen so far. The overall story and art design harkens back to something I would of seen 15 to 20 years ago though.
ID-0 - I'm with Wrangler on this one. For a original Anime, the concept of conscious-transferring into large Mecha to do space work is a interesting concept. Now add to the fact that the majority of the mining ship crew are permanently in their Mecha forms adds a twist as well. This is truing out to be an interesting series.
SukaSuka / WorldEnd - No, I'm not gonna state out the full three sentence title to this show. Of the two 'Burned out Combat Mage teaching Magical Girls' shows this season, I'm enjoying SukaSuka more. You know there's gonna be some kind of tragedy at some point, but the ride getting there is gonna be worth it, I think.
I started to watch Sin: Seven Mortal Sins and Akashic Records of Bastard Magical Instructor as well. Seven Mortal Sins comes off like a 90's soft porn OVA series and I stopped through ep 3. Akashic Records I stopped early in ep 4. I just headdesked after Glen decided to give up the finely tuned plan to use every student for the upcoming competition and do like every other Instructor.
