Bushiroad will be launching a new Kemono Friends mobage. Nothing to do with the old one by Nexon, who deleted PVs for their game last month (probably when they sold the IP).  Supposedly the mobage Bushiroad got out for Love Live and BanG Dream were pretty good - and free to play - so let's be hopeful there.

The franchise is also getting a stage play in June, including the PPP (penguin) idol unit.

I'm slowly getting into this season.  I kinda had change in my internet service so i had stop watching for bit.
I just finally watched first episode of Frame Arms Girls.   Call me old, but way show's format for the girls to suit up and their initial weapons configurations reminded me of the old Centurions show. Especially the land and Air ones.

Doubt they'll do other characters the same way though.

On the other hand, I wonder how much cosplay we'll see of the Friends at upcoming cons? There's some "not-Comiket" conventions either April or May, I can't remember which one.

The others are the ones I'm concerned with, though.

I've seen a few floating around already, but they were at Japanese events.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt - 6

(Gundam.Info's Youtube channel, Turn on CC options for English subtitles. Can't say how long it'll be up.)

Interesting ep. The Federation forces that Io is attached to patrols a arctic region looking for renegade Zeons. Arctic and underwater combat that doesn't do the Feddies well at all.
Plus Io meets a new female companion who shares his music tastes. Wonder how long she'll be around...

I saw the first episode of that show.  Is there a point where it gets likable characters?

Question for those who watched Yamato 2199(or have seen any 2202) more recently than me: I'm trying to convert the Garmilas fleet to Starmada, and am stumped regarding their ship-launched missiles. What can you tell me about any scenes that showed Garmilas missile fire? I know it won't be possible to provide hard numbers, I'm looking more for impressions. Did they appear to have longer or shorter range compared to main guns, have a rare of fire notably higher or lower than said guns, generate a big AE blast vs an armor-piercing shaped charge...stuff like that.

Looking at various wiki entries, it seems like almost every ship in their fleet has a healthy missile armament(heck, their standard battleship is almost entirely a missile boat), but I can't remember much about how they used them.

Trying to remember 2199,  i do think in the initial EDF Fleet Battle at Pluto, missiles were fired but you didn't get to see where from.  Last destroyer holding off the enemy so the Admiral's flag ship could escape was hit by missiles.

In the original series, missiles were definately part of the mix, usually the destroyers.  If you try the Star Blazers Fleet Battle System, they got stats they directly took from the original series.   No stats are shown for free.

On second thought, Fleet Battle System data be might useful in another way. Do you know what the fighter capacity of the Garmilas Tri-Deck Carrier and Battlecarrier are?

Apparently the Hululu cutout (Humboldt penguin friend from Kemono Friends) that has been stuck in the penguin enclosure at Tobu Zoo - the primary zoo running a cooperation with the show - has been adopted by a local penguin who stares at her for hours on end. It's even sparked fan art by now.

Apparently Hululu is the only one with a fan like that though. Tobu Zoo set up some fifty similar cutouts of Kemono Friends characters in enclosures.

Once more, i am slowly catching up on the interesting Animes.

I've watched the three episodes ID-O.  This is a Science fiction series, of prospectors in deep space.  They use form of robotic avatars which they download their minds into space activity that maybe too dangerous to do.   The show focuses on young female college student who got caught up mining scandal, she rescued by sort of small mining/prospecting company which has some usual members.  So far, the series pretty great, with not too heavily fanserviced as others.  Its bit refreshing for me to watch something that hasn't been manga form (that i know of) before its been brought to the airwaves.  I enjoyed it so far.  It has comedy while having some intrigue and plot development going on.

Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor
- This is fantasy magic school show, which is semi-drama and semi-comedy, more on the later.  Which isn't bad.  Your taken back when it starts up, which it was setting the theme of perhaps more serious show.  It's so far ok, its funny at times.  I've only watched one episode so far, yes there is fan service but it's doesn't ruin things.

I was watching Renai Boukun.  Whenever the Yandere wannabee girlfriend switches on her murder-mode, they play a certain string music.
I am I crazy?  It sounds like sample of the old Black Hole (movie) title music.

Kado: The Right Answer - 4 & 5
I'm not entirely surprised with how the UN, and the world at large, reacted to the WAN announcement. I do admit the solution that was delivered at the end of ep 5 was interesting. Why yes, the Japanese Government will turn over the WAN we've been given. But hold on, we've discovered how to DIY WAN as well. So here's how to do it!
Oh this is gonna make for an interesting story now...

Re: Creators - 5
As if the fights from eps 1 & 2 wouldn't of drawn some kind of government attention. The showing up of a giant robot sure would of brought out the response that Team Meteora got this ep. I do really hope there'll be some character growth with Rui Kanoya, the Mecha pilot. Even his "Creator" was getting rather annoyed at Rui's passive/agressive nature: "I thought it would be more interesting if the story took a plot twist when he got defensive. I never thought I'd deal with him in real life...." and "I admit I'm the one who did the character design, but he's a lot more trouble than I expected."
Oh that character bit is gonna get a bit old rather quick.

It was nice was seeing the 'disagreement' between Yuya and Team MUP that Yuya mentioned in ep 3. Though also seeing Alicetaria's kidnapping of her "Creator", yea if the government didn't do something, heaven help us all...
It seemed a bit 'off', but seeing Meteoria getting dressed down on what she 'borrowed', and some what used in the ep 1 fight, was necessary, I guess. At least why Meteora was using rocket launchers was explained...

But the, well expected, bombshell that Sota finally realized that "Oh Crap! The MUP was created by my recently deceased friend!" I'm surprised it came this early in the show. I would of expected it in maybe a ep or two or closer to the halfway point.

But something came to mind after watching this weeks ep and thinking back to last week's ep and the revelation that Meteora's "Creator" is deceased. If, say, something like the events of Re: Creators happened in the US and classic supers like Superman or Batman popped up and looking for their "Creators". Since the original creators of those specific characters have passed on, could who ever is handling the writing/artwork duties even fill in as the "Creators"?

I've got to admit, Re: Creators is my favorite show of the season so far.

Otherwise...
Alice & Zouroku - It's a supernatural Punky Brewster. I've been enjoying this show. Now that the seriousness of the first arc has been done, maybe we can get back to a little more light-hearted storytelling.
Frame Arms Girl - Yea, it's Busou Shinki, the next generation. The lead human girl is growing on me and the majority of the FA Girls have been introduced. I still like the Manga version a bit more, but the Anime series is a solid watch each week.
Clockwork Planet - As absurd of a premise this show has, the main characters seem to work decent enough. I'm pleased some of what was done in the Manga wasn't adapted. Right now the Anime is about 1/2 to 2/3 through what I've seen of the Manga scanlations. So the pace is going good enough.
Grandblue Fantasy The Animation - I like what I've seen so far. The overall story and art design harkens back to something I would of seen 15 to 20 years ago though.
ID-0 - I'm with Wrangler on this one. For a original Anime, the concept of conscious-transferring into large Mecha to do space work is a interesting concept. Now add to the fact that the majority of the mining ship crew are permanently in their Mecha forms adds a twist as well. This is truing out to be an interesting series.
SukaSuka / WorldEnd - No, I'm not gonna state out the full three sentence title to this show. Of the two 'Burned out Combat Mage teaching Magical Girls' shows this season, I'm enjoying SukaSuka more. You know there's gonna be some kind of tragedy at some point, but the ride getting there is gonna be worth it, I think.

I started to watch Sin: Seven Mortal Sins and Akashic Records of Bastard Magical Instructor as well. Seven Mortal Sins comes off like a 90's soft porn OVA series and I stopped through ep 3. Akashic Records I stopped early in ep 4. I just headdesked after Glen decided to give up the finely tuned plan to use every student for the upcoming competition and do like every other Instructor.
