No, not really.

Looks like we have ready:

wantec with the second half of Superheavy
Getz with the Penitrator
Empirus with the Thanatos (almost typed Thanos)
Kidd with the Panther

Plus reservations for the Marlin, Shrike, and doubtless a few others.

Honestly, if there's some willing sucker... I mean volenteer... we might consider restarting this thread with them at the top, rather than poor Helbie (we miss you Helbie!) and then having that person coordanate things.  For my part, like General Sherman I will not run if nominated nor serve if elected, but that's not to say that there isn't someone else who could.  And if we're being really careful, too keep the presdential metaphor going, we should ensure the second post is by the vice-mech of the week presedent, so that if the first person has to drop out the second can step in with the second post, which is still easy to see, and not hide it seven or eleven pages in.

Or, we can just keep going willy nilly, I suppose.  Or I guess if there's a willing person with mod powers to edit Helbie's post, they could take over in this thread.  Just ideas.

I'm working on my take on the Eyrie, just in case Hellbie doesn't want revise his first take. It's essentially done, but I thought of a section I wanted to add to it.

Shall I put up my Penetrator article this weekend?

I fell out of favour with heaven somewhere, so I'm here for the hell of it now...

I'll put up the Merlin this week if we need a filler, its a small ish article as there's very few variants of it but i'll polish it up and be ready if needed.

Also I think the link to the Goshawk is down or broken, I was unable to get to it from the Mech article thread.  And if needs be, i'll gladly do an article about the Goshawk.

If you need more time, i can post Thanatos this week. Just need to do a polishing pass (if i bother) and i can post it.

And looks like Goshawk article does no longer exists for whatever reason. Search comes up effectively empty.

Anyone interested in the Triskelion?  Since we just saw all the superheavy tripods covered, why not go ahead and cover the 75 tonner?  Anybody?

Might take a stab at it, though i don't really care for it. But on the other hand... No promises though, will need to do some evaluation first.

You can go ahead and post the Thanos :) Its got far more interesting stuff than the Merlin :D  The Merlin's ready to go its more a case of emergency filler than anything :)

Panther redux+update is ready at any time.

I'll pass on the Triskelion, but are there any other Mechs or tanks not covered?

Oh yes, plenty left to cover for the first time. And more that have been covered before and either didn't make it over to this version of the boards or have new variants since the last writing.

Check this list -> http://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=174.msg1139#msg1139 to see what's been covered. If it's not on the list, you can give a go. Just give everyone a heads up so you don't duplicate someone else's work.

Some 'Mechs with articles are missing from the article archive.

Speaking of missing articles, the ones i know are missing:

At least Mercury II, Battle Cobra, Pouncer, Mercury and Anubis are missing, and one Marauder IIC links to Centaur Battle Armor. There might be more, don't know.

Then I shall continue working from the bottom-up, and begin research on... the Quickdraw! (wah wah waaah...)

Probably no WorkMech Wednesday article this week.  Wife and I have been building a Shadow Hawk head for me to wear to the San Diego Comic-Con this week.

Here is the Goshawk MotW. It was posted under its Clan name.

marauder648, if you've already put virtual pen to virtual paper, why don't you just add your thoughts to the existing thread? I prefer the MotW repository to be encyclopaedic, with thoughts and updates on a given design being bundled in one place.

Who's up this Friday, if no one's ready I can hurl the Merlin at the board (assuming we don't get a plague of 504's again).

Edit: Okay, article is up. Apologies for the delay. For future reference, when do MOTWs usually get posted, Fridays or Saturdays?

Fridays-Saturday night, usually, from my perspective. Which works out to... (late?) Fridays in US timezones, usually, i think?

IMO, don't worry about being late. Stuff happens, and this is just volunteer work done for fun so not a big deal.

It's traditionally Friday afternoons in my experience, yes, but don't bust your chops excessively over it.
