Warships of TRO 3057 Revised BV2 and C-bill costs

Edit: I made a mistake that is affecting the BV2 of every single ammo using warship. I am working to correct it, but it is not fixed yet.

So I decided to rebuild all of the warships in TRO 3057 revised with Strategic Operations rules. Why? Bacause I can, of course. When doing it I also decided I would include calculating the c-bill costs and BV2, since that information is no where to be found. This thread is the result.

Before I post them, some notes:

• I was unable to gather any data on what quarters were used on any particular design, so I rolled the gunners into total crew, then divided into officers in first class, and enlisted in 2nd class. For marines I used 3 ton foot platoon bays per 30 marines, and added them to the bay personnel.
• I used the crew numbers I calculated when I rebuilt the ship. I was unable to procure information as to whether any of these ships used excess crew above what was required or if it was simple miscalculations, so I stuck with the numbers I calculated.
• There was no information about any ships using such systems as NCSS, Mobile HPGs, or other such equipment, so none of these numbers include those
• When attempting to acquire information, I was told that CGL would not share info about a future product, so presumably they have plans to re-release an updated TRO 3057 some time.
• I used a spreadsheet to get these numbers, and if someone notices a mistake, difficult and unlikely as that might be to happen, please point it out, and I can pretty easily adjust it.
• I was asked not to post the full stats of my rebuilds, so unfortunately this post will only be BV2 and C-Bill costs. I thought about also including crew and cargo numbers, but with the uncertainty I mentioned above I decided not to (cargo and crew have little effect on C-bill costs, and no effect on BV2).

I'd also like to point out the the BV2 costs of ammo dependent weapons are ludicrously unbalanced compared to energy weapons, resulting the the silly differences between the McKenna's BV2 and ships like the Farragut and Luxor edit: and the Black Lion.

Another interesting thing is that most ships fall within a certain range of C-bill price, and this is due to Dropship collars being the single biggest cost increase there, followed by Lithium Fusion Batteries, and then weapons. With most ships having a similar amount of dropship collars means they have a similar price. Interesting here is that the Star League Era McKenna actually costs more than the Potemkin of the same era. Then the clans added a lithium fusion battery to the Potemkin and it became the most expensive warship in this book.

Well, this makes my original Castrum cost comparison not quite right.  at ~5.9 Billion c-bills, now the only warships coming in under are very old ships, the surveillance ships, and both Vincents.

Alternatively, you can also now compare their BV2, and at 67k the castrum comes in as more expensive than quite a few ships that way.

Is there some update to it that I missed?

Sensors/Spy Gear rated at 75 tons.
The Small NCSS is 100 tons, and the large is 500. So I did not use them. I feel that it wasn't meant to either, as it is noted in it's fluff as being less advanced than a Bug Eye. Since the NCSS's own entry states the Bug Eye used it, I felt adding one in to the Nightwing would be the wrong choice. Instead I placed 2 High-res Imagers, 2 Infrared Imagers, and 2 look down radars in the Nose and each of the broadsides, totaling 75 tons of gear. This matches the Nightwing's description as closely as I could with gear that exists in the game.

I checked my McKenna math again, and found I hadn't accounted for the NAC ammo in the battle value, fixed now. Thanks for bringing my attention to it.

Edit: the Night Lord had the same problem and is also now fixed.
Edit2: ... and the Texas, Farragut, and Davion block II. Basically I copy pasted it from the nightlord to everything with an NAC 40 further down on the list. All fixed now.

Nice, I have been wanting to get a warship game started up, but I want the means to balance the game. Others have suggested, "just pick what looks like it would be fair." which means having to spend more time on things then I can at times.

As for any upcoming GCL warship based product, I'll be waiting to buy it asap if it has a point system that allows players to set up one off games. A BV2 of space combat is needed.

However if someone wants to get me a list of books with warships that do not have BV2s, I can go book by book, as I acquire them. This is the only one I was sure of didn't have BV2.

Okay, I just finished working on a more refined spreadsheet, with thanks from Dragon Cat and Daryk, and I'll be using it to redo all of these (again lol), this time with the correct BV2.
