The Yvhv (Wolf in the ancient Muskegon language, often pronounced incorrectly as "Yoohoo") is a fairly common sight on the worlds of the Filtvelt Coalition, where it has served for over a decade providing air support to the Coalition's various planetary defense forces. Simple, rugged, and capable of delivering enough fire to bring down nearly any target in a single pass, the Yvhv is well loved by both pilots and its ground crews, and every world in the Coalition can boast at least a few of these capable strike aircraft. Even with the disruption caused by the collapse of the HPG network, the Yvhv has also managed to be a valuable export product, with squadrons in service with both the Calderon Protectorate and the independent world of Randis. Even some worlds in the Federated Suns' Periphery march have operated the Yvhv for years, and with the disastrous Combine and Capellan invasions, orders are only expected to increase as the Suns desperately tries to shore up its defenses.

Works for me! And bombs up nicely.

Question - RAC-5 vs. RAC-2. I'm a total believer in range for conventional fighters. Do you feel the extra damage is worth getting into medium range of heavier weapons?

And if that got you enough tonnage to go vtol, then I have the mini already picked out ;)

When I think of a conventional pilot on a 31st century battlefield this comes to mind

I like having the extra firepower to bring to bear in a ground attack role. Though with all the rockets it already carries and could carry as a bombload, that might be excessive... But then, there is no overkill and all that...

It's already got VTOL capability. I'm going to have to pick some of those up.

Yup, they're pretty cool and make for a great BT-scale smallcraft landing jobbie ;)
