Liam's Infantry Emporium - playing around with Megameklab
« on: 16 February 2017, 06:50:11 »
The latest version of megamek lab has added a bunch of features to conventional infantry; Field guns, armor kits, implants, and the ability to print record sheets. So I decided to whip up some Manei Domini Infantry.

The record sheet (attached in PDF format as always) doesn't list the implants, so it's not perfect. But still pretty fun.

Good news is the lab boys say the symptoms of asbestos poisoning show an immediate latency of 44.6 years. So if you're thirty or over you're laughing. Worst case scenario you miss out on a few rounds of canasta, plus you've forwarded the cause of science by three centuries. I punch those numbers into my calculator, it makes a happy face.

I dig it!

From a purely fluff point of view - what kind of implants would these guys have?
Banshees are defensive operators, yeah?

Shoot, the text readout doesn't list them either.

I gave them Dermal Armor, multi optic eyes, and enhanced communications. So they have extra armor, are more accurate, and functionally possess C3I.

Sounds like artillery is the best way to clear them out...

Hey, we want to get nuts, we can get nuts. The Tau Banshees I posted are supposed to be relatively modest as Manei Domini go.

Decided to create another modest Manei Domini infantry force to coincide with a recent delivery from onslaught miniatures that I think will make for great blakist troops.

Omega Zombies
IS experimental

BV: 133
Cost: 3,647,015.32 C-bills

Movement: 2/2

Men: 18 (6/3)
Armor: 2.0

Primary Weapon: Laser Rifle (Mauser 1200 LSS)
Secondary Weapon: Rifle (Radium Sniper) (2)
Damage per trooper: 0.813

Weapon                         Loc  Heat
----------------------------------------
Rifle (Radium Sniper)          MEN     0

Equipment                      Loc
----------------------------------
Word of Blake Infantry Kit     MEN

Implants
Artificial Pain Shunt (reduce all damage from flame based attacks by half, -4 to any morale target numbers)
2 enhanced prothetics w/vibroblades (0 hex range attack inflicting 0.28 per trooper with +2 modifier to target number)
Boosted Cybernetic Comms (functions as a c3i node, -1 to indirect attacks spotted by this unit, -1 to morale target number)
Prosthetic Leg Masc (1 additional ground movement point, additional +1 to hit modifier to attack this unit)

As before, the attached record sheet doesn't list the implants (aside from the extra movement point from the prosthetic leg masc), so you need to keep track of them separately.

You know, if you're going to give them Clan support weapons, why not Mauser IICs? >:)

Those are reserved for the scarrier ones that spit poison, have four arms, a tail, and can fly

And the Clan ER Heavy Support Laser?  Which is the actual support weapon in question?

Mauser IICs aren't support weapons... I meant replace the Mauser 1200 LSSs with IICs, and Liam said they're reserved for the even scarier troops... :shudder:
