MekHQ Contract signing bonus

Where in the rules (Either field manual mercenaries or ATB) do you come up with the signing bonus for contracts if any?  This is not part of the random contract generator in MekHQ, it is listed at the top as a check box option under Contract management.

Not sure, I do know in FMMercs you can negotiate for a higher amount than the base. That could be what the signing bonus represents. I know in Campaign Operations it doesn't really exsist (that I remember seeing).

Leftover bargaining points are converted to signing bonus - IIRC 1% per 2 points.

Ah yes, that's right! 

Does anyone else use the FM:Merc Contract negotiation process while playing ATB?
