So . . . I do not have TM or TacOps, just for starters but I want a more realistic set up to reflect IRL fog of war & electronics war. I understand the standard LOS rules but I know they are pretty off as far as what the battlefield would really look like- for instance a LOT could theoretically hide behind a bluff without having to be right up against it.
I have looked at the blurbs but they just refer to the pages and hints of what it does. I have played around with Diagramming LOS but I am not sure I am studying it correctly.
Same deal with the sensor rules. Some of what I am looking for here is like the MC2 abilities for the mechwarriors that I would imagine carry over from the RPG aspect- if I put a sensor specialist in Raven they are going to be the most useful, etc. I have tried playing with Ghost Targets turned on for some complication with ECM but I have never been able to tell the affect in the game. I would like a setting that lets someone with bad skills maybe pick up something is on the otherside of the hill, if they are ok with sensors tell me if it is a mech or vehicle, and if really skilled tell me if its a heavy vehicle- without revealing what it exactly is would be best IMO.
My preferred style is 'wargaming' so I like to immerse myself where I am studying the Blue Force Tracker to tell my forces where and how to go.
