Panther Question
« on: 08 April 2011, 19:02:18 »
I love the Panther. I however do not like the jumping Panther. I know the metal walking Panther is still available in the "Command Lance" set, but is listed as OOP and not available in the archive section over at IWM. What would be the best way of trying to get more "walking" metal Panthers? Besides buying up lance sets.  :P

Could ask IWM if they could run off a bunch of them for you.

Is that something they do? Has it been done before?

Who knows unless you ask?  I can't assume the lance pack casts are all one gigantic mold, so it stands to reason that mold is sitting around somewhere.

You might have to pay the archive fee at worst, is my guess.

Best way is to modify the jumping Panther.  It is probably the easiest modification you can do and requires only an exacto knife for a basic repose.  The Panther in the Lance Pack is a reposed jumping Panther.

Just takes a little cutting and a pair of pliers and the Panther is easily reposed.  ;)
I don't set an example for others. I make examples of them.

You can also cut it and then build it a little "hill" to stand on on the base out of greenstuff/Milliput.  I've done that with a couple of jumping Panthers and it looks sweet.

Mr. Noe responded (very quickly, I might add!) to my inquiry. As I am unsure if this is something he wants published, I will refrain from posting the contents here. I do appreciate his response and can't say how much I enjoy dealing with IWM. Having dealt with manufactures in my  "Day Job" I have a fair understanding of how badly most of them treat consumers (or even their vendors!).

Also, that Panther is the ****! I want it!

Nice pic...
