Faithless' Project Thread
« on: 25 September 2014, 11:37:26 »
With the volume of stuff I work on, I decided to do just one thread. So, where we go.

I got a Blood Reaper this weekend but I did not like the legs on it.

So I did a leg mod using Madcat legs.

I also recently built a modded Stalking Spider 2. In game pic.

And my Marauder inspired by many talented individuals on this board.

Don't like that Stalking Spider, mainly because the flaming wreckage it's standing in front of was previously my Lament in that particular game... :D

It hit with a heavy large and two medium pulse forcing a psr. Which he failed. Then I kicked him while he was down and got a golden bb. Which resulted in two crits, directly to the gyro. We were both surprised.

Thanks. Before it looked like a body builder that neglected his legs. The rest of the stock legs will find a home in my bits box.

Is that Stalking Spider standing on two hex bases or just one?

A-ha!  Very nicely done!  I will have to remember that when I repaint the one (or two?) Stalking Spiders that I have.

I hope you'll post pics of that if you manage to succeed.  I'd like to see if it can be done.

I have been working on stuff, but have not posted any updates on here. I worked on some CJF mechs for our recent revival tournament.

I knocked out a few mechs today and used some mwda infantry for ejected pilot markers.

And a building in progress. It started life as the top of an Olive Garden carry out container.

Thanks. The Bushwacker I bought a few year's ago when the Battletech bug bit again. The Falcons I did myself. They are all magnetized in various ways to represent the configs. I later realized I left the missile rack off the top of the Daishi in the pic. The exception is the Battle Cobra, All it's configs could easily be represented without modular parts.

You know, I had seen that Olive Garden box in another picture . . . but I think you could make it a great light hanger when you get another.  Use a bit of cardboard for the walls to lift it to mech height . . . and you could even walk through.  Or a warehouse, it would work for that too . . .

. . . might have to see about going to Olive Garden with the wife.

Reaching back into the thread a bit, but where did the arms on this Marauder come from?  I think I could use them for another conversion I'm working on.   ^-^

They are the shoulder gun off the solitaire. I reused the upper arm from the marauder.

Lol, just do not approach it from the right side for melee.

I cannot say anything, I finally tackled the MAD-9S and it will be stepping from off the hex.  The TBolt will stand in more than the hex and you saw the Solitaire that is running off.

What is the black & red mech in the background.

This is the mech bay I'm working on. I'll start a thread when it's painted. Also I find some mech legs lacking too, I modded this Lanner with Mad Cat legs (those things are great). I just wish the clans had a decent quad. I think the Bailius and Stalking Spider look horrible. I might do a mod on the Xanthos.
