Conversion from Quick-Strike to Alpha Strike

Per Xotl and the Errata coordination team:

For those of you still using Strategic Operations, below is a link to a document that will update the BattleForce and Quick Strike rulesets, as found in the second printing of Strategic Operations, to the new Alpha Strike ruleset:

There may be other universes based on all sorts of other principles, but ours seems to be based on war and games."

LBX and HAG weapons are generally where the FLK special ability comes from.

As a semi-related note, the Alpha Strike errata is now available.  See the errata forum or main webpage for details.

On a further related note, I've made a new one-page to-hit modifiers table incorporating all current errata for anyone to use:

EDIT: table deleted, current version now found in AS errata.

  • If it's salvagable, take it; if not, scorch it.

Let me know if you find anything wrong with it.
Miscellaneous Modifiers:  I don't see the shield special on there.  I thought that added +1 to hit (for the unit with the equipped shield) on top of absorbing 1 of most incoming damage?

SHLD does add +1 to hit, but that's a fairly niche Special used on very few 'Mechs.  It also permanently modifies any attack by that 'Mech, rather than REAR or IF (which are the only other two Specials applicable to BattleMechs on that table).

Kansas City players, or people who are just passing through the area, come join us at the Geekery just off Shawnee Mission Parkway for BattleTech!  Current days are Tuesdays in the afternoon and evening.  I can't make every single week, but odds are pretty good that somebody will be there.

errors.  CLPS should be STL.  Void Sig should be MAS.

Question: where is the Alpha Strike Quick Start Rules PDF?
I don't know what the Kitfox does as a mech, I just like foxes.

Panther, Enforcer, Hatchetman, Grasshopper!

On the main page, under New to BattleTech.  Scroll down to As a tabletop miniatures game and there is a link to the Alpha Strike Quick Start.

Link in OP is dead.  I'm currently working on a new calculator for my private gaming group.  Would like to share my work with the greater community, but I'm trying to be respectful to Catalyst on what is or is not appropriate regarding copyright rules.  I say this because my calculator does make limited use of some official sources (ie. tables found in the AS Companion book).

Any advice on how to proceed?

I can send a private link to parties that may be interested to review what I have so far.

 C:-)

I am going to unsticky this thread as it has long since served its purpose.
