(Research) Naval Repair Facility Numbers - related
« on: 29 September 2015, 16:57:57 »
pg 335
Quote
Naval Repair Facilities may accommodate up to 1 JumpShip, Space Station or WarShip; 2 DropShips
With regards to jumps, how would this now work out since Jumpships and Warships can now carry multiple bays? Can a JS/WS jump with each bay full or is it limited by how many collars said ship could normally carry?

Quote
JumpShips or WarShips with repair facilities may jump while the facilities contain non-jump capable vessels, however, as these
systems incorporate K-F drive booms.
ie Would a 150k ton JS which would normally be limited to 3 docking collars (head math, may be wrong) but has 6 repair bays now be able to travel with 12 dropships?

This is one of those rare issues that caused blood feuds and claimed the lives of many a rules team member.  I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you, and am unlikely to anywhere in the near future.  Sorry.

I would think that the following might have been an answer, but maybe just an idea for TPTB to toss around.

Under game rules. No Jumpship or Warship may safely jump with more than double its normal docking collar limit when using naval repair facilities.

At least then it's a rule that allows some abuse of the current construction rules w/o going overboard with the human sacrifices  #P
At any rate, was worth a shot.

No.  When I do I will provide an answer, I assure you, but you'd best consider this closed for the immediate future.

Can't hurt.  Hopefully it can be answered before then.

Checking on how the grumbling is proceeding. Same as its twin. Let us hope no catgirls are harmed in the answering of such a distasteful subject #P
