Spriggan (Clan Heavy Quad)
« on: 24 October 2016, 09:56:39 »
Please let me know if this is what's required for stats, as this is my 1st attempt at using MegaMekLabs, so I'm still figuring out how to list mass/weights, cost, and fluff. Sorry.

I also like to refer to it as the Mini-Me Procyon Quad. Half the size, 50% angrier.

Code: [Select]
Spriggan BattleArmor
Clan experimental

BV: 779
Cost: 3,322,500 C-bills

Movement: 4/4

Internal: 5
Armor: 50
                     Internal    Armor
--------------------------------------
Trooper 1                   1       10
Trooper 2                   1       10
Trooper 3                   1       10
Trooper 4                   1       10
Trooper 5                   1       10

Weapon                         Loc  Heat
----------------------------------------
ER Small Laser (Body)          Point     2
AP Gauss Rifle (Body)          Point     1
Advanced SRM 2 (Body)          Point     0

Ammo                           Loc Shots
----------------------------------------
Advanced SRM 2 Ammo            Point     1
Advanced SRM 2 Ammo            Point     1

Equipment                      Loc
----------------------------------
BA Standard                    None
Anti Personnel Weapon Mount (Body) Point
Shotgun Microphone (Body)      Point

I've yet to figure out how to give Quad BAs in MegaMekLabs a turret, so until then, my designs won't have them. No matter how much I wish otherwise. Oh well.  :-[  :-\

The AP mount would be considered to be set to the left or right of the BA's 'muzzle/nose', and you can take a random guess as to where the shotgun mic system is located and what it looks like. Basically I added those last two pieces of equipment to fill up the remaining 0.08 I had left and the last two slots (Clan Stealth would have filled the slots, but would have shaved off 2 points of armor due to weighing more. Which was a no-go for me), which makes it quite a nasty infantry hunter-killer.

MegaMekLabs is really bad for any battle armor with turrets, disposable weapon mounts, or modular weapon mounts (in my opinion of course).

I tend to use to just to get the basics (armor, movement, set equipment) put in, then export to clipboard and do the rest by hand.

Ah. 'Kay.

Guess that just means I'm going to have to stop being lazy and break out the calculator and spreadsheet(s).

Another thing you could do is, rather than things like the shotgun mic, you could have the extra weight as 'mission equipment' which is basically cargo space that you can use for any number of things... like explosives.

I briefly thought about it, but decided against that since you generally have to get out of the Qaud (no arms after all....unless you go MGR's Blade Wolf and give it an ultra-light manipulator on a tail) in order to use anything in a 'mission equipment' slot/pouch. Which to me screams 'sniper bait'.
