Information about Hall, circa 3065
« on: 16 October 2017, 11:07:03 »
Looking for information about the planet Hall, circa 3065. Current campaign is a slightly alternate AU, but I'd like to have a clear idea of what was there per canon.

As of 3065 my understanding is -

Emperor Baranov -
4th Republican - 1 Battlemech Battalion / ??? Supporting forces
Stealthy Tigers - 2 Battlemech Battalions

Count McNally -
McNally Guard - 1 Battlemech Company / ??? Supporting forces
Burton's Brigade - 1 Battlemech Company / 2 armor lances(?)
Critchley's Cavaliers - 1 Battlemech Company

Cater's Cohorts -
1 Battlemech Company(?) / ??? Supporting forces

Ridzik Brothers -
????

Any help filling in the blanks would be appreciated.

Pretty sure the Stealthy Tigers were not in place at that point though Buddy boy should have had more troops than you assign.  He had 2 BN against a FS or LA loyalist with one BN that was lower ranked.  He wiped out the folks in his command who would not go along.  McNally probably has some of the remains of the planetary militia's mech forces and I would expect armor & infantry are spread between the sides.

The Stealthy Tigers land in December 3066, according to Embers of War.
They then effectively crush McNally's forcess ans kill his lordship.

Neither that book or the Kings ans Pawns source book really gives a full break down on the Republican forces, but based on defections and combat loss I'd say closer to two battalions.

Thanks for the replies so far.

Sarna.net has Baranov with a Mech Battalion in 3058, and by 3067 with supporting elements. But I don't mind putting it at 2 battalions worth of Mechs and supporting units in 3065.

How about McNally? I'm thinking maybe a combined arms battalion total. A company each of Mechs and Armor, with 1-2 Infantry companies. Was McNally a Mechwarrior, or any sort of military veteran?

Ridzick brothers I've never seen anything about what they have. I believe they were mentioned in the old Chaos March book but didn't give any details. Per canon I believe they are no longer a factor around the 3065-67 time frame, but as I said this is for an AU so I'm keeping them around.

What about Wobbies? Any troops or advisors helping out Baranov?

Embers of War is what you need to read.

Dunno about McNally? But his lover was the head of Burton's Brigade and had a son with him. Cyclops driver, commanded a company of mercs
There's also mention he had retainers who were military.

The Word had their hooks in early - buddying up to the emperor and supplying equipment. For the most part it seems to be intel and info.

The Ridzixk twins are Mechwarriors. Embers of War has one of them driving a Cataphract

I have Embers on my wish list but hadn't got around to it yet. I'll move it up higher on the list. Still got some time before this kicks off.

Interesting, and cryptic. I'll keep an eye out.
