Battle Armors, power supply and ammo
« on: 01 March 2011, 01:24:59 »
My current campaign has two characters with Battle Armor, Kage and Kobold.

Now if I remember correctly, BA's require to change their power supply. Right?
So how much such power supply costs and what equipment is used to recharge one?

Kage and Kobold are using Light Machine gun, Small Pulse Laser and Micro Grenade Launcher.
How much does one ammo magazine weights and costs for LMG and Small Pulse Laser? MGL does use
B type ordnance.

How Recoiless Rifle works with Battle Armor? Does it require simple or complex action to reload after each shot?

I am looking for the rules and stats to quote directly.

Yes, you need to track power usage and ammo. Battle Armor does have a limited amount of power and jump fuel. I even believe the packs are rechargeable or even field replaceable for quick reloads.

When I FIND the stats and the book I will post it up.

Well I didn't see anything in AToW but in MW3/CBT:RPG (the rule set AToW just replaced) has Primary and secondary weapon ammo amounts on pg 143.

Most of the gear ratings BAR values really didn't change mush from MW3 to AToW so they should still work.

Both the Kage and Kobold feature armored hands so may use any infantry weapon and utilize external ammo for those weapons. Including a recoilless rifle. I didn't see anywhere that a recoilless rifle can use the primary or secondary weapon slot.

Stats and ammo should be in TechManual I believe.

The rules for making your own are there. Not how much ammo/power the primary and secondary/anti-infantry weapons of the canon Power Armor has.

Thanks.

Now I believe that each Power Pack what keeps BA functional is unique based on suit type. So power pack
for Kage suit wont work on Grenadier. But since Kobold and Kage are pretty similar (fluff wise) they might have
compatible parts?

I believe that I can use Rechargers on AToW page 307 for recharging BA power packs?

Now I have another question. On AToW page 215, there is list of Battle Armor weapons. And Small Pulse Laser has
Bursts (ammo) of 14 and Burst rate of 50. So that thing can shoot 50 times per turn but only has 14 shots in its magazine?
