QVX-12 ATM Carrier

I made this while messing around with the QuadVee rules. I am shaky on dark age/wars of reaving clans, so feel free to discard any of the fluff if you want to write better material.

A number of factors lead Clan Hells Horses to develop the QuadVee ATM Carrier. After their experiences in the inner sphere, and witnessing the use of SRM and LRM carriers, they wanted something with similar, but superior performance, in ambush capability, mobility and missile harassment. With their quadvee conversion technology debuting, the time was right to fill this role with a quadvee chassis rather than a vehicle. This would afford the unit greater mobility, and protection.

With the extra conversion and motive systems, and the desire to mount greater armor and ammunition stores, the chassis was eventually upgraded all the way to 100 tons. As much as possible the scientist cast of Clan Hells Horses stuck to the original chassis, importing many parts of the motive system. Much of the ammunition feed system was also imported to the new design after the designers found that the original was designed to be installed on either the SRM or LRM carriers, and they found it easy to adapt to the clan ATM systems.

The use of iATMs really drive home that this was inspired by the Inner Sphere designs, since they are far more versatile than standard ATMs, having both streak and indirect capability, along with a wider array of ammunition types.

Unfortunately, once it's inspiration was known, and the Council had decided to remove all things "inner sphere", the design was scraped, and those working on the project scattered to other projects.
